Drex (his real name is Tomas Kafka) started to be interested in DJing in 1998, when he tried to play with the laptop, CD players and finally with the turntables in 2000. After several months training and first gigs he started to organise the parties and helped with building the electronic scene in West Bohemia, where he lived. In that time he became more and more known and the people started to book him for their parties more often, not only in his hometown, but in many places all over the Czech Republic.

In 2001 he tried music production, when he started to learn the music softwares and working with the sound.

In 2003 he took a part in the DJ contest "LIVC/BASSLINE CUP" and he was placed as the 2nd.

In 2004 he became a member of the Techanalitic production booking. In this year he was making the performances with 3 turntables more and more perfect, his DJ sets were full of the experiments and gradations. After one year break in the music production he started with the production again and he published several loops on the internet.

Next two years were in token of the preparing his LIVE PA performance, building his home studio, using samplers in the performances, 3 turntables show. Thanks to this all he has more and more booking offers, including larger parties and open-airs.

In 2007 he found the Skillz Brothaz project with his friend - energy sets full of gradations and scratches, the sound influenced by detroit and oldschool techno, 2 turntables, CD player, 2 mixers, the laptop with the Ableton and own production - this all makes the right and uncompromising techno energy sound at every party. Their performances are very successful and they have more and more fans. In the half of 2007 he became the editor of the info server about electronic music www.undergroundcity.cz. After short break he finished the home studio building and from this time he spend a lot of time in his studio with producing the music.

In 2008 he presents his new sound - combination of the elements of more music styles, mainly techno, minimal and electronica. He started to use the Ableton in his performances, so he can play his own production in his DJ sets - from sounds, samples, loops, up to his tracks, and give his face and originality to every performance. This year he is planning to release his next tracks and remixes.

During his DJ career he played at many clubs and places not only in the Czech Republic, but in Holland and Slovakia as well, and he played along side of many Czech and international DJ stars. Tomas is also the promoter of several good parties.
