Do you know DRI.K?
Deep House/Tech House/Techno
“The best female DJ we’ve ever seen playing!” by TICON (SE)
“Number one female DJ in Brazil.” by Chris Chrebet (US)
"She stands out from the rest both in and out of Brazil, producing really cool and intelligent work. I believe that, if she continues this way, we will soon have a TOP DJ representing our country really well internationally and earning her deserved respect in the Brazilian scene." by Marcelinho CIC (BR)
"Without cheap tricks but far from being a sound considered difficult, DRI.K showed an untouchable sound sensibility: technique and very sharp trends. And she has a very chic sound, almost blasé, with so much subtleness. Cheers to DJ DRI.K's Tech-House"
by Alex Palhano (BR)
Adriana Costa e Silva has a degree in Graphic Design and Fashion Business. For ten years, she was responsible for the look of many great brands in Rio de Janeiro and even had a book with this theme published. Influenced by many of her great DJ friends, DRI.K, how she is currently known, gave up her professional stability to follow her dream to live off music.
Considered one of the most talented DJs of her generation, DRI.K stands out for uniting beauty and charisma with a desirable technique acquired from DJ Scratch Academy in New York. With only 3 years in the profession and a fast moving career, DRI.K performed in many different parties and clubs in South America, United States and Europe, sharing the DJ booth with Erick Morillo (US), Paul Oakenfold (UK), Deadmau5 (CA), David Amo & Julio Navas (ES), John Acquaviva (CA), Ticon (SE), Funkagenda (UK), Tocadisco (DE), Miss Nine (DE), Alex Gaudino (IT), Dusty Kid (IT), Laurent Wolf (FR), Yves La Rock (CH), The Flash Brothers (IL), Tino Morgado (UK), Thomas Penton (EUA), Anneli (SE), Gui Boratto (BR), Life is a Loop (BR), Anderson Noise (BR), Marky (BR), Memê (BR), Carlo Dall’Anese (BR), and Mario Fischetti (BR), among many other great names.
DRI.K was present in the best music events in Rio de Janeiro. Some of these events include Cream Brasil, Rio Music Conference, Verao TIM, and Roda Skol. She will soon make it happen at Chemical Music Festival, in the Gui Boratto & Friend's tent, which makes her involvement even more special. For two consecutive years, DRI.K also participated in Miami's Winter Music Conference events and played in Pag Island in Croatia, one of the most happening summer places in Europe.
In Brazil, she has played in some of the main clubs and parties, including: Garage (Cuiabá/MT), Privilège Búzios (RJ), Privilège Juiz de Fora (MG), The Week (RJ), Fosfobox (RJ), Dama de Ferro (RJ), Lounge 69 (RJ), Nuth Lounge (RJ), Boox (RJ), People Club (RJ), Icy (RJ), Bielle (PR), Somma Lounge (GO), Sedna Lounge (GO), Nite Club (PR), Working In The House /Car Wash (PR), Easy (SP), Red Club (MA), Wall Street (ES), Amnésia (MG), Space On (RS), Space Ibiza (RJ), Arena Morro da Urca (RJ), Fisiofantasy (RJ) and Pink Up! (RJ).
Besides playing at the nightclubs, DRI.K already performed at some important corporate events like the 14 days of events of the Open Office of Rede Record (a television channel) in Ipanema and the launch of Nextel's Blackberry Curve at the Copacabana Palace. However, she became nationally known in February 2009 when she shook the Big Brother Brasil 9's house, broadcasted live by TV Globo and the TV channel Multishow.
Though she's fully booked for playing, her ties to design have not been left behind in any way. DRI.K has designed flyers for events at the Boox and Lounge 69, nightclubs in Rio. She is also responsible for personal projects of several DJs like Roger Lyra, Leo Janeiro and Marcelinho CIC. Speaking of fashion, AFGHAN and BOTSWANA sponsor DRI.K; she signs the store's soundtrack and events that launch new collections. Events from BOBSTORE, DIESEL, ADIDAS and ESPACO LUNDGREN have also counted on the presence of this beautiful DJ.
She has toured internationally where she played at the following clubs/events: We Love Brasil Pool Party (WMC 2007 - Miami/FL), We Love Brasil at Club Jazid (WMC 2008 - Miami/FL), Opening Cocktail of UC Music (Miami/FL), Great Scott (Boston/MA), The Liberty Bar (Philadelphia/PA), Guitar Bar (Newark/NJ), Mood Lounge (Union/NJ), Chris Michael's Lounge (Woodbridge/NJ), Adega Lounge (Newark/NJ), The White Room (BsAs/AR), Kalypso (Pag Island/HR), Exit (Vodice/HR), Crossroad (Malinska/HR) e Magnus (Senj/HR).
On the Internet, her sets played on Radio Multishow FM/BR, Push Radio/EUA and Beatbox FM/BsAs. She has also participated in live broadcasts on Transamérica/RJ and Cidade/JF. One of her sets, the Minipoptech (July/08), won the contest "Leggo My Demo" and was highlighted on the newspaper's radio “The Miami Herald”, in Florida/US.
One of the greatest female breakthroughs in the electronic music scene in Rio, DRI.K is currently part of the 3Plus cast, a major Brazilian agency. Always complimented wherever she goes, DRI.K makes her sets with a bit of Techno and a lot of Deep & Tech House. Having this DJ in command of the dance floor is synonymous with fun rocked by sexy and compelling grooves.
From DRI.K, expect the unexpected!
