DJ Edgar was born January 4th 1974. He..s living in JPA in Rio De Janeiro. Edgar started his DJ career when he was eighteen years old, being employed as a DJ for the sound system "Furacão 2000", one of Rio..s biggest and most known Baile Funk sound systems. Later, he became the exclusive DJ for the funk MC..s William & Duda, then worked for MC Mascote (for one and a half years), Gorila & Preto (for five years)and others. Today is working alone (solo career). Edgar toured various European countries from Sweden to Denmark, Switzerland, France, Germany, Poland, Holland, England and Spain. Edgar plays everything from old Miami Bass to current Baile Funk and Pos-Funk, switching between mad MPC wizzardry and frenetic CD-DJaying skills. With his own productions and remixes, Edgar is spreading the sound of Funk Carioca on a global scale. If there..s a DJ that represents Rio..s hot new dance sound, which currently explodes on dancefloors all around the world, Now alone...I'am DJ Edgar.
