Portuguese Bio: Electro Junkie é João Luz, um jovem madeirense de 22 anos, residente em Lisboa. A sua carreira, iniciada em 2004 num conjunto de festas privadas, levou-o a se interessar pelo djing e, a mais recentemente, passar por importantes casas da noite madeirense como o Marginal, Café do Teatro, Golden Gate Club, MUST Bar, ou, os já extintos, Cofi-Shop Xperience e Clube Avenida. O seu estilo eclético provém das mais variadas influências, onde se destacam nomes como Justice, Soulwax, Boys Noize, SebastiAn, Rex The Dog, Stuart Price, entre outros artistas e bandas dos anos 80 e 90, tais como, Alphaville, The Doors, Queen, The Prodigy, Hall & Oates, Metallica, Michael Jackson, The Clash, inclusivé pelos mais variados artistas desta nova vaga da cena French Touch, Nu-Rave. Nos seus set's encontramos a sua imagem de marca, viagens marcantes por vertentes electro, rock, crunk, acid, maximal, old-school rave, breakbeat e techno.



English Bio: Electro Junkie is João Luz, a 22 year old portuguese dj, that lives in Lisbon. His career, started in 2004, followed up by a set of private party's, which lead him to develop a certain interest in the art of djing, and more recently, to play in some of the most important venues on Madeira Island (Portugal). Such as Marginal, Café Do Teatro, Golden Gate Club, MUST Bar, and the already extinct, Cofi-Shop Xperience (rip) and Clube Avenida (rip). His ecletic musical taste comes from various influences, where we can found artists, such as Justice, Soulwax, Boys Noize, SebastiAn, Rex The Dog, Stuart Price, and other artists and groups from the 80's and 90's, such as, Alphaville, The Doors, Queen, The Prodigy, Hall & Oates, Metallica, Michael Jackson, The Clash, but also music from artists of the new French Touch and Nu-Rave genre. In his dj set's we find is trademark, musical journeys from electro to rock, crunk to acid, maximal to old-school rave, and techno to breakbeat.
