Djenn's 2009 debut album,
"Amusing Disasters and Traps"
is available. You can purchase it -here-
or by going to most online music retailers.
- The official website, www.djenn.com contains several other tracks not available here on myspace - so check them out. -
Originally formed in '96 as "Jenifer", the band recorded several Live-to-Dat tracks, and played several shows in the Los Angeles area before breaking up in '99. They reformed as "Djenn" in 2004, shifting from a darker, brooding tone, to a more particular sophistication, yet intentionally preserving the lo-fi quality of their recordings.
In February, 2006, their long-time drummer left the band in pursuit of other musical interests. The guitarist and vocalist remained, and from 2006 to mid-2007, they recorded several previously unfinished tracks: "Demerol", "I Can't Stand the Sight of You", "Precious", "I Saw Dave" and "Twice in Two Minutes". Brown and Baldit further recorded the track, "Delivery". Live versions of some of these tracks and others from 2006 and earlier can be found at the website, www.djenn.com
Djenn is now currently a solo project by Brown. This year, 2009, sees the release of Djenn's debut album, "Amusing Disasters and Traps" containing 13 tracks of melodic and hard-hitting tunes of horror and beauty. A sample of the album's contents can be seen and heard above in the music player.
Djenn is currently in-studio working on the next album. Tracks and release dates to be announced, so stay tuned.

If you want to hang out ,message me at my other site here www. myspace. com/toohotforfizzle or go to my top friend(same site) We dont read the messages at the circus site. we are getting too many to handle there There are too many there and hard to manage
Wow guys, VERY impressed. You have been hard at work. I wish I could say the same for MR. Your new sounds are absolutely SICK!!! I really love Precious. I'm hearing the Cocteaus. Beautiful. When available, I will buy.
Here's the deal. New rock is a piece of shit. Djenn, you can actually here someone playing a real guitar on these tracks- try and show me a pod setting for the intro guitar on 'The Saga of Billy'. The singer doesnt sound like a computerised version of himself with cotton crammed into his cheeks- he sounds like a person! And then the whole thing isn't dramatically limited and slammed up to the breaking point of volume levels. This is well written/performed music that doesnt leave you feeling like you've just had your brain rinsed by a producer.
Ok man, I have not forgotten about you. The thing is, I said to myself "I gotta listen to those tunes and then I'll shoot a message" and then I haven't had time to listen so now I'm just an ass! Ha! Anyway, looking forward to hearing them soon. So...how's it going anyway? - P
