THE STORY SO FAR...............
Farouche gained valuable industry experience in 1987-94, in Melbourne, Australia, club promoting & hosting his own radio show on KISS 90 FM, moving back to London in 1995, hooking up with top house outfit DREAM TEEM (Radio 1), from 1998-2000, honing his production & remixing skills on their house label imprint DFL, but not before doing his first commissioned remix of S-Express ''The Return'' (Rhythm King) back in 1996. Plus he had several releases under the monicer DJ FEROUCHE 'sweet funk' 'falling again' Tingles (remix)...and rhyme creator (remix)
Whilst producing with the Dream Teem, Farouche was signed to Concorde international artistes as a DJ, thus putting Farouche on the international Dj circuit, always being booked as the headline this work took him to places like Russia, Malta, Greece & Bulgaria. His exciting & invigorating DJ style behind the decks has won him admirers professionally and publicly alike.
During this time Farouche started working in the Essential Studios (Hoxton Whores) producing and remixing alongside Gary Dedman which included diverse artistes like, Michael Jackson, Massive Attack, Alison Limerick, Ice T, and David Bowie whilst releasing tracks under several different monikers, Amnesia All Stars and Outbound, the latter being the name used when remixing the huge anthem “I Wanna Be U” Chocolate Puma “Outbound Dub” (Cream Records).
After locating to his own private studio, he commenced work with the likes of Tony Mathews (Soul to Soul), Rick Wilde, and Kenny Thomas (Crazy World). This further led to him honing his musical and production skill which gave him the opportunity of helping produce & mix an Oxide (of Oxide & Neutrino) single featuring Harvey, Romeo, and Aliesha (Misteeq), which made record of the week on Radio 1.
Having produced for various artists, he decided that it was time to go back to producing his own music, so ''I Won’t Let U...'' (No Bull Records) was released featuring a sample taken from ''Le Freak'' (Chic) and also featuring the awesome vocal talents of Viveen Wray (N-Trance, Toolroom, Simon Webb)! After the success of this, Farouche went on to remix several more Chic tracks, approved & requested by Warner Music themselves!!
2007 saw Farouche winning the 1st round of the Movida Corona World DJ Tournament at The Egg, London & the release of the ''History EP'' under the monika Ian Van Boorn which gained widespread DJ support from the likes of Seb Fontaine, Jon Carter, Oliver Lang & Gerard Russchenberg!
2008 already got off to flying start for Farouche after winning an American based remix competition of ‘Take Me Away’ (on Detroit Authentic Records) which gained a world wide release on tha label's Remix album, & led to the ongoing "154 Music Show" on tilllate.com spinning the best in House music from all over the world with fellow DJ's such as Paul Van Dyk, Mark Knight, Miss Moneypenny's, MN2S etc.
Currently, Farouche remixed the classic rave anthem "Fine Day" for industry label darlings Loverush UK which gained massive industry support for his, & the other mixes, this in turn spurned him on to extend his already unique sound (which has now been copied by many) & see him sign to Fatboy Slim's label Southern Fried with his first release for the label "Full Frontal" (which already made damage on promo via Power Promotions) to be released in '09, as well as been asked to supply his 'magic remix fingers' to the Audio Bully's "Flickery Vision" single which is also released on SF soon.
Check out his "Farouche Vocal Edit" mixes for prime time grooves, or his "154 Dub" mixes for that more early morning jam!
