When Alan Hayzelden was around the age of 12 he bought his first 1Nation tape pack and would listen to them in class, the same tapes over and over again, not paying much attention to what was being written on the board and would just listen to the likes of GrooveRider, Zinc & Andy C, back then it was just something to listen to and it didn't even cross his mind that he too, could be a DJ.
As he went through secondry school he started downloading the latest sets and would whack them onto his MP3 player, and 5 years down the line still didn't quite realise what there was to DJing. It wasn't until he was introduced to DJ Deep in late 06 that he really started getting a ear for tunes that mixed well and started learning about beat-matching. He would have a little play around on friends decks to start getting used to it all.
In March 07 he invested in some Kam DDX750's and a Numark mixer, spending all the money he could get in his hands on vinyl, he soon had a small but suitable collection of Drum&Bass to get him practicing into the early hours, with the help of Deep he gradually started learning the basics and pulled off some big mixes and some, well, not so good but at the young age of only 16, theres lots of years ahead of him for improvement.
He has also done a few mixes on the computer and has even made two of his own songs 'Only You' and 'Summer'

On Thursday 12th April, his track 'Summer' was played on XLTRAX, and got alot of good feedback, not bad for a station that gets listeners from all across the world!
