I'm influenced by all sorts of music from around the world. The countless number of independent artists making music to make music. My main influences in the DJ/Producer realm are Z Trip, Shadow, Cut Chemist and Day.
Sounds Like
Mixed, blended and scratched breakbeat funk, soul, jazz, disco, rock and hip hop from around the world old and new, known and unknown, rare and common.
The name comes from my mom, Susan Ferrari, an accomplished pianist and composer. I've been DJing for about 7 years now, but only seriously for the last 3. I started out as a strictly hip hop DJ and played shows all through college with little success. After a hiatus while entering the working world, I got back into it thanks to Z Trip. I expanded my musical tastes to soul, funk, jazz, rock, disco and anything else that's dope. I really got into the collecting aspect of DJing and am always on the hunt for rare vinyl. I've done a few club gigs and have put out some mixtapes with some success. Stay tuned for more and check it all out at www.djferrari.com.
