Hi my name is Flo aka flowOne or flomali. I started off getting into rap and the whole hip hop culture back in 1993. In 2001 I bought two technics turntables and a vestax mixer and started scratching. I got inspired by DJ's like Sevored, Radim, Folks, Azrael III, Resus, Q-Bert, D-Styles, MixMaster Mike and others. In 2002 we founded our crew called: "Mad Tightness Scratch Foundation". The same year I started homerecording and producing, using my pc, an audio interface and some multitrack software. My beats are based on funk and jazz samples with either midi, sampled or recorded drums. In 2005 my friends Michael Madness, Tschawunga, Ray Hudl and me started an indie funk band project called "the midnight marauders". Around that time I also started experimenting with the possibilities of effects in scratching by using e.g. wahwah pedals to get even funkier sounds out of those turntables.

In 2004 Resus and me started a collaboration project focused on mashing up funk, rare groove and rap. We do high quality multitrack mixtapes and 2 man dj-gigs where we often play back2back and do routines including a lot of breaking, mixing and scratching. You know, just a lil more than the average DJ playing track by track by track...

Due to the insight into the art of beatdiggin that Resus and his older brother Mike G provided me. (THANX!!!) I increasingly got into funk, jazz and "rare groove". So now I try to build up a proper record collection containing all the music I like and sample stuff for producing beats and remixes. As you can see my style of music changed a lot over the years and is now quite wide spread. Way back I started off with rock! In the mid nineties I changed to rap and later to jazz and funk and then, back to rock. Today I basically listen to anything with a good groove and beat! "Free your mind and your ass will follow!"

To this moment I'm steadily producing, doing dj-gigs at different clubs in Germany, putting out mixtapes and trying to make a name (and some cash ;-)! I'm always up for a gig (or collab), so just write me a short note for booking and check the download links above to my/our mixtapes!
