Influences	most types of music. mainly hip hop that i grew up listening to from the mid 80's to the mid 90's and all sorts of 60's & 70's music. prolific artists like james brown & herbie hancock and also many not so prolific or famous artists who have made music that i've bought over the years of searching for 'breaks' and things to sample.
Sounds Like	my music doesn't really sound like other modern day stuff.its mostly inspired by 80's & early 90's hip hop and late 60's/early 70's funk,rock,jazz etc.

About DJ Format

A NEW PROJECT.. As well as working on another dj format album(which is nowhere near finished i'm afraid!), over the last 2 years or so i've been working on a completely different musical project with an old friend..and at times,some musicians and a female vocalist. It definately isn't hip hop but if you enjoy some of my more unusual/experimental musical projects(like my strange mix cd's) then please feel free to check out THE SIMONSOUND.. www.thesimonsound.com www.myspace.com/thesimonsound I hope to have a new dj format album finished later this year but it's not something i'm about to rush as i want to be 100% happy with my music and this seems to take me longer than most!

One is the annual Tottenham (North London), Carnival & Festival. The other is a festival to be held at Victoria Park, East London. If it suits ya, we could arrange to have a chat over a beer then. It was just a ridiculously huge hotel in the middle of the desert - and that was it! Insane. Kind of like a five star "Hills have Eyes" or something.
