About me:
Frank Richards is among the few successful House Music DJ’s living in Las Vegas today. With a career spanning over the last 12 years strictly spinning Deep and Funky House.
1993-2003:
It is in Las Vegas that Frank has truly made his mark. He started by promoting & DJ’ing parties dating back to 1993. Working with such talent as Doc Martin, Steve Loria and Barry Weaver, Frank has been a major force in the dance music scene in Las Vegas. In 1997, he gained a residency at Club Utopia, where he has transformed the upstairs outdoor patio into a haven for those with a passion for house music. Soulful and invigorating, his sets on the Utopia patio have, many nights, overshadowed the headliners in the main room, as he has cultivated a loyal following and made his area among the most unique in the city for music for 6 years. The “Club Utopia Patio” which overlooks the Las Vegas Strip, had gained such a reputation that it was a popular visiting place for many DJs, who stop by when in town to drop a few records. You never knew who you might see, which was part of the allure. Now with Club Utopia closing its doors after 8 years it has become just a wonderful memory for all club goers all over the globe! “Club Utopia” not just a place, but a vision.
Frank’s rise to the position of local resident DJ at Club Utopia put him alongside world-class talent week in and week out for 6 years! Among the laundry list of DJs with whom he has headlined with: Danny Tenaglia, Jesse Saunders, Carl Cox, Keoki, Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, Moby, Josh Wink, Doc Martin, Hippie and Halo, Sandra Collins, Goldie, Taylor, Julius Papp, Jeno, Garth, Thomas, DJ Sneak, Bad Boy Bill, Terry Mullan, Dj Heather, Dave Seaman, David Alvarado, Mark Farina, Grant Plant, DJ Dan, Miguel Migs, Pete Heller, DJ Disciple and Dave Ralph. He also played consistently with Donald Glaude and Kimball Collins, who were out of state residents to Utopia on a monthly basis.
Franks Sunrise Sessions on the Patio of Club Utopia have proudly become famous worldwide! The vibe was always amazing! Franks blend of deep, funky and soulful house music was intoxicating! Mixing a blend of classics and yesterdays most original tracks. All of this made storming the Club Utopia Patio a weekly tradition for clubbers worldwide for many years. Frank has gained international recognition for creating a unique and positive vibe for those with a passion for house music and nightclubbing!
2003-2004:
On July 27, 2004 Frank Richards accepts the position as Music Director, Talent Buyer and Resident DJ at ICE Meta_Club. Frank’s rise to the position as resident DJ and Talent Buyer put him alongside world-class talent week in and week out for 11 months that hit the country and Las Vegas by storm. Frank dedication helped put Las Vegas back on the map when it comes to Electronic Dance Music. Among the list of DJ’s he has booked and headlined with at ICE in 2003 - 2004: Jesse Saunders, Derrick Carter, Felix Da Housecat, Boy George, Doc Martin, Mark Farina, Josh Wink, Onionz, Donald Glaude, Dayhota, DJ Collette, DJ Dan, Keoki, Armin Van Burren, Mark Lewis, BT and DJ Icey.
On June 23, 2004 Frank accepts a residency at Tangerine. . Opening it doors on July 4 Weekend. Tangerine sits on the water at the Treasure Island overlooking the beautiful Las Vegas strip. You can find Frank Richards spinning on the Tangerine Deck Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights.
2005:
New Years 2005, Frank Richards accepts his newest residency at PURE Nightclub located inside of Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. You can find Frank playing on the PURE Terrace overlooking the fabulous Las Vegas Strip on Saturday nights from 10pm – 5am.
For those of you that haven’t heard, PURE is amazing from top to bottom and inside and out, along with one of the most stunning views Las Vegas has to offer from our beautiful outdoor Terrace! PURE was voted ..1 Nighclub in the country by E Channel July of 2005.
