Franksen plays as a house- or drum-n-bass club DJ weekly. He loves his Deephouse and Techhouse, making shure it stays groovy in the mix. Driving beats, organic percussions, electronic funk or global vibes, it’s all in there.
The strict goes with the playful, the rhythmic with the melodic and the organic with the electronic. In House- and clubmusic, Franksen keeps it versatile. His longlasting flirt with Drum-n-Bass only adds more flavour to his house mixing and vice versa.
Franksen writes for german dance-magazines „Groove“ (www.groove.de), „Raveline“ (www.raveline.de) and the D&B mag “Headliner” (www.headlinermag.de) and rounds up his journalistic and artistic interest and passion for clubmusic as radio dj. Franksen is „On Air“ since 8 years, hosting Germany’s longest-running DJ-radioshow YOU FM CLUBNIGHT (www.clubnight.de) caring passionately about booking, hosting and DJing in person. Just like in his sets, all the flavours of House and Techno are alive: with groovy tracks, a vibrant presentation and well-chosen guests. From Jamie Jones to Loco Dice or from John Dalbäck to Johnny D., just to name a few from last year’s live guests at Franksen’s studio.
Franksen teams up with radio buddy Tom Wax who is hosting a weekly show for electronic club sounds called YOU FM SOUNDS. While Franksen has his roots ‘in da house’, Tom brings on more of a techno vibe in the studio. The results of their collaboration are modern, groovy House tracks with a distinct funky yet soulful drive. They will release in spring 2009 on Plastic City and Katchuli Records.
Andrej Stech aka Esse, the dj/producer from Vilnius releases the "Endless EP" on Flying Flowers Records: 4 deep tracks with dubby and electronica sounds.
