Born in Montreal, Canada, Francis Del Castillo A.K.A (FRENZ E ) moved to the United States at the age of eight. Not knowing how to speak English, it was difficult for him to make friends so he decided to pick up playing the guitar. After being influenced by many artist such as Nirvana, The Ramones, Sex Pistols, NOFX, Propaghandi, lagwagon, Prodigy, ect, Francis knew what he wanted to do for the rest of his life and that was to play music. There was just something about the passion and unity of the music that moved him. As the years past by, Francis found himself deep into the punk rock scene and more in love with music than ever. After playing guitar and singing in a couple bands, things were coming along great. But Francis felt there was something missing. A void he needed to fill in, problem was, he just didn’t know what it was at that moment. But that would soon change. One day, Francis managed to end up at a rave and it was something that he had never experienced before. He was just blown away by the sounds that he heard along with the clarity of them. The vibe and culture was also different as well. A couple of raves later, Francis finally decided to sell his guitars and amplifiers for a pair of beltdrive Numark. Not knowing many people in the scene and not having a mentor, at the time it was difficult to improve. A year and a half later, Francis sold the Numarks and settled for a pair of Technique 1200’s. Francis found himself fascinated with Hard Dance music and Drum and Bass. It was just so intense and fast, it was kind of his way to establish a middle ground between Electronic Music and Punk Rock. After practicing for a couple of years, there was no turning back now. A few months later Francis now FRENZ E, found himself playing gigs around Dallas. His first show being at Heaven Studios, followed by a residency at AFTERLIFE. As soon as word started to spread about FRENZ E’s skills, he started to play more and more. Before he knew it he was playing everywhere in Dallas in clubs such as, The World Famous Lizard Lounge, Afterlife, Insomnia, Minc Lounge, Club Wax (Old Sandbar), Ivy Lounge, Sekret Lounge, A residency at Yucatan Beach Club, AOU Burleson Warehouse, to name a few. FRENZ E has also played with many world class acts such as, DJ DEAN, DJ VENOM, A.S.Y.S, Dave Aude, Reid Speed, Terry Mullen, Paul Anthony and ZXX, Kyau & Albert, Simply Jeff, Devine and EmilyPLAY, Wavewhore, Jaremy Word, Claudia Cazaku and more. After many years of DJ’ing FRENZ E decided it was time to start producing his own dance music. After falling in love with Electro, House, Grime, and still keeping close to his old Hard House routes FRENZ E has figured out a way to fuse all of the genres that he loves into one. His production could be described as dirty, filthy, funky acid, electro house. But he really hates to label anything. After only 6 months of producing FRENZ E released his first track “EVENMORE” which was more of a progressive house track onto online electronic stores such as Trackitdown, Juno Download, and BeatsDigital. FRENZ E is now finishing his E.P. which he hopes to release soon.
