  • Bio

Raised as a teenager on a diet of Old Skool Rave + Happy Hardcore, I have been Dj'ing now for 10 years. Im a lover of nearly all music (obvious exceptions) and my extensive collection covers most genres including Dubstep (My main passion), House, Drum n Bass, Jungle, Techno, Breaks, Breakcore, Hardcore, Hip Hop, Dub, Reggae, Funk, Disco, Old Skool and even Trance, along with 80's + 90's & Party Tunes, sometimes all mixed into one mashed up set..... I currently hold down 3 residencys in my hometown of Liverpool. First up, I'm now entering my 3rd year of being Dubstep resident at easily one of the biggest and most respected club nights in the UK, the mighty Chibuku Shake Shake. Celebrating 10 years of hedonistic and downright crazy parties in 2010, the past 3 years have seen me play at some of the best parties any DJ could hope to play at. Some of the many highlights have included warming up 700 people for Chase & Status and nearly breaking The Theatre in two, stepping up and destroying The Loft before Caspa & Rusko, and playing alongside such luminaries as Mary Anne Hobbs, Skream, Benga and Loefah in The Bar..... Alongside my long standing DJ partner and best mate Frankie Venom, I'm also Monthly resident @ one of Liverpools busiest and most consistent Dubstep and Drum n Bass nights, Heavy Rot8ion, and at my own night Jasbof which I co-promote with my poisonous friend..... 2009 saw gigs reach new dizzy levels and saw me appear at one of the most famous Dance Music festivals in the world Creamfields, playing Dubstep on an outdoor stage at 8pm. Then only 2 months later in October that gig was eclipsed by possibly one of the biggest honours that can be bestowed upon a DJ, playing at the world famous London super club Fabric, recently voted 'Best Club In The UK' by Mixmag Magazine..... I have also appeared at a huge range of events for well established names as well as underground smaller events over the years. Playing nearly every genre under the sun from Hardcore to House, Techno to Trance, DnB to Dubstep and beyond at events such as Metropolis, Voodoo, Pace Yourself, Audiofarm, North, HIVE, Dreadnought, Oblivion, The Techno Experiment, Sophonic, Gutterfunk, Coco De Mer, Alcatraz, Foul Play, Subliminal Discharge, Rigormortis, The Warehouse Partys, Substance, Dark + Digital, Crack Zombie, Subsonica, Doomzday and many many more (check the old flyers in the slide show)..... With all these sets over the years I have been able to play at venues in Liverpool like Nation, The Cavern, The Carling Academy, The Masque, The Zanzibar, Le Bateau, The Magnet and more, plus venues across the country such as The Phoenix, The Music Box, Saki Bar & The Scubar in Manchester, The Sanctuary in Birmingham, Lakota in Bristol, The Void in Stoke On Trent, The Blueprint in Nottingham, SE One and of course Fabric in London..... Whilst playing in all these venues I have been lucky enough to have the chance to play on some of the best sound systems around, including Funktion 1, Phazon, the mighty Seqouia rig from Sheffield, Liverpools powerhouse Dangerclaart rig, Manchesters premier collective The Gash Soundsystem, and probably one of the most famous rigs in the world, Dillinja & Lemon D's immense Valve Soundsystem..... Guest appearances on Radio have come on BBC Radio 6 with The Queens Of Noize, Radio City 96.7 on the Cream Global show with Andy Mac, Digilouge presents on KCR, popular DnB internet station Kunnin Mindz Radio, along with hosting my own shows on internet stations Witness The Sickness & Nwdnb Radio..... Over the years I have played alongside and warmed up for some of the most famous DJ's and acts on the planet from a huge plethora of scenes, including; Dj Hype, Andy C, Adam F, Dillinja, Pendulum, Grooverider, Chase & Status, Nicky Blackmarket, Evol Intent, Mary Anne Hobbs, Skream, Benga, Kode 9, Loefah, Caspa + Rusko, Youngsta, Shackleton, Emalkay, Appleblim, Youngsta, Scratch Perverts, Trojan Soundsystem, David Rodigan, Lenny Dee, Mark Eg, Venetian Snares, Kid 606, Drop The Lime, Exile, Shitmat, Bong Ra, Dj Producer, Bam Bam, Jamie Bissmire, Jerome Hill + many many more..... Not content with just letting my passion for music out in clubs, I am one of the Dubstep reviewers and feature writers at the nationally distributed Core Magazine, one of the most exciting new Dance Music publications to have emerged in the past 18 months. I'm also owner and main writer of www.liverpooldancemusic.co.uk, a blog dedicated to all that's going on right now across all genres in Liverpool, as well as being a contributor and blogger/writer for renowned Dance Music Plastic Soup..... Production wise, I am now studying towards a National Diploma in Music Production & currently working away conjuring up music most nights. The best results of these mammoth mouse clicking sessions you can find in the player above..... For bookings or if you have any tunes you think I might like to play out or would like to be considered for review in Core Mag, if you'd like any of the tunes in the player above, or if maybe you'd just like to say hello or send me a torrent of abuse, please contact direct through here or get in touch through the email addresses below.
