christoph rosinski, born 1965 in berlin was infected by synthesizer sounds in 1977, when he won the record "The Dark Side of the Moon" from Pink Floyd in a lottery.
in 1980 he bought the famous ROLAND Juno-60 synthesizer and played with friends "improvised psychedelic tribal rock".
after dj-ing at schoolparties with 15 (rock&pop), Gandalf started spinning professionally in 1994 at the berlin club "Hirschbar".
end of the ´90 he was resident-dj in the Subground-Club in the growing scene in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg. the bigger breakthrough came with the "Loveparade 1999". where Gandalf played with Tsujoshi and Paul Van Dyk (Truck + Tempodrom).
he appeared on all big german open air-festivals like Antaris 1999 - 2001, 2004; VooV 2002, 2003; Fullmonn-Festival 2005; Lovefield; Tshitraka; Indian Spirit; Liquid Time...
Surely his talent brought him to play around the world like in Switzerland (Atmosphere), Thailand (Fullmoon), Austria (Sonnenklang), Zambia (Solipse 2001) and many others.
Gandalf likes and plays a wide array of trance music: Ambient/Chill; Progressive Trance; Goa/Full-on with the exception of noise based dark psy trance (goagabba).
besides he organize and promote as magic beat project the biggest annual indoor event in berlin with more than 1000 guests.
