Gaty Lopez inizia la propria carriera nella storica discoteca “Kiwi” di Bari nel 1988,
poco dopo inizia a suonare ai primi party piu’ cool e con ore di pratica inizia a partecipare alle gare di scratch, subito dopo a tutte le migliori competizioni italiane di tecnica con i mixaggi a tre piatti e i “megamix” cambi di 10 dischi in 90 secondi o giu’ di li’.
Inizia a collaborare con i migliori club baresi pugliesi e lentamente si affaccia sul panorama nazionale.
Cresciuto con la piu’ bella musica degli anni 90 e con il vinile sotto il cuscino, passa dalla dance alla musica undeground alla musica house e infine alla musica elettronica che segue con particolare attenzione.
Nei suoi set si ascolta musica nel gergo a “crescere” bella e carica di ritmica in un crescendo con cambi semplici fino ad arrivare a sovrapposizioni particolari a 3 piatti o 3 cdj e con un occhio di riguardo o meglio un orecchio ai suoni nuovi.
Si segnalano le sue apparizioni all’estero in Germania, in Lussemburgo, in Grecia ,e nel Regno Unito.
Uno dei suoi primi amori e’ la musica house fine anni 80 , appassionato di musica elettronica, e’ facile nei suoi set ascoltare versioni personalizzate di brani anni 80.
Instancabile suonatore starebbe ore attaccato alla consolle, memorabili alcuni suoi set terminati con tutti i fedelissimi vicino la consolle solo con la monitor.
La radio altra compagna di vita lo segna nel suo percorso con collaborazioni in radio di rilievo.
Nel passaggio musicale di questi anni nel 2006 si cimenta in un a produzione estiva , da mesi lavora a tempo pieno in studio di registrazione a progetti di stampo elettronico.
Il dj set di Gaty Lopez sara’ un set carico di emozioni cercando il feeling con il pubblico con cui viaggera’ fino all’ultimo solco dell’ultimo disco( che preferisce al set con i cd) sicuramente potrete vederlo all’opera con il pc.
Attualmente impegnato al lavoro con produzioni discografiche, scrive per CM & PS, docente presso l’IDTM-DJ di MILANO con il corso per dj base e avanzato e con il corso di ABLETON LIVE,
DJ presso il LUMINAL e SURABAYA (MILANO) Finalista al Notteinsonne 2007 nella categoria Dj/Producer,collabora con HALO RADIO ( OLANDA) con i suoi DJ SET ogni 2 settimane, tra i vari appuntamenti per l’ITALIA l’HOUSESSION PROJECT
Mr.DJ GATY LOPEZ’S BIOGRAPHY
It was in 1988 that Mr.Gaty Lopez started his career in the famous disco “Kiwi”, in Bari. Shortly after, he began playing in the most fashionable parties and after a lot of practise, he took part also into scratch competitions. That is not all! Soon after, in fact, he participated in the best Italian technique competitions as well, playing three turn-tables mixes and “mega mixes”, i.e. changes of 10 records in 90 seconds or even less.
He worked with the best clubs in Bari and Puglia. But he did not stop here! Mr. Lopez began slowly to appear also on national scene.
Grown with the best sounds of the 90s and the passion for vinyl records, he makes dance, underground, house and electronic music. To this last one the Dj pays great attention.
In his sets, you can listen to a good music increasing in sound and loaded with rhythmic beats. This is what Mr. Lopez can get with easy changes and special three turn-tables or three cdjs juxtapositions without losing sight of new sounds, however.
It is noteworthy his performances abroad exactly in German, Luxemburg, Greece and the U.K.
Because of his love for the house music of the end of the 80s and electronic music, it is easy to listen to personalized versions of pieces of the 80s.
He never gets tired and he would be stuck to the console for hours. And then...whoever could forget some of his sets with people all around the console only with the monitor!
The radio has played an important role in Mr. Lopez’s career as well. He has worked, in fact, on important radio.
Musical changes led the Dj to attempt a summer production in 2006.But he did not only this. Indeed, he has been working at electronic plans for months in recording studios.
His dj set will be full of emotions and in search of great feeling with the people who will be there with him until the last record will wear out.
Soon you will see Mr. Lopez at the pc.
Now he is working on record productions, writing for CM&PS and running the course for beginner and advanced DJs at the IDTM-DJ in Milan and the ABLETON LIVE course.
Mr. Lopez plays at the SURABAYA and LUMINAL in Milan and works with his DJ set on HALO RADIO (Holland) every two weeks. The HOUSESSION PROJECT is one of his Italian appointments. Do not miss it!
