I love hip-hop!!! There is nothing like it!!! My favorite emcees are Kanye West, Nas, Jay-Z, Tupac, The Game, Common, Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, and anyone else with great lyrical content and the ability to paint a Picasso with words.
I also need R&B to soothe my soul. I simply adore Alicia Keys and Ne-Yo!! Jill Scott puts a smile on my face. Luther Vandross makes me feel so relaxed. Patti LaBelle has me wanting to kick my shoes off like she does. :) I can't get enough of Raheem DeVaughn's first album. Oooooooh!!! lol And Floetry are some bad ass sistahs (get back together!)
Movies
I don't really have an extensive movie collection. Don't consider myself a big movie buff. Some joints I can't get enough of are 8 Mile, Love & Basketball, She-Devil, Baby Boy, The Fugitive, South Park, Quiz Show, The Shawshank Redemption, Blow, Fade to Black, and several porns starring Mr. Marcus. lol
Television
The TV damn near stays on MTV Jams or Vh1 Soul all day. I love reality shows and comedies like Reno 911, and especially older comedies such as I Love Lucy, Leave It to Beaver, Brady Bunch. Yeah, I'm weird. lol
Books
I've read too many books to pick favorites. I can say though that my favorite author is Richard Wright. His imagery is amazing!!!
