Dj Hector Carrero has worked in the electronica scene in Colombia since 1990. He started as the resident Dj in one of Bogota’s main clubs Up and Down. He then moved on to working on a mix show in 88.9 La Superestacion( one of the leading stations at the time). In 1992 he joined BMG Colombia to work as a club promoter for dance music where he developed a magazine catered to Djs and clubs. Universal Music came afterwords where he worked as a club promoter and a Dance Product Manager. During this period of time several successful compilations were released; Universal Clubbing, Dance Mix, and the groundbreaking Rave Nation. Rave Nation was a compilation that for the first time united original productions from local djs. This title received amazing reviews from media and Djs. In 2002 he became the director of the radio show Estacion Ibiza, that aired on the weekends. Estacion Ibiza became the show where local and international djs were invited to play live sets from 6 pm until 6 am every Friday and Saturday. The show was one of the top 5 weekend shows for 6 years in a row. Currently he is working as A&R for the label Bedroom Music searching for tracks from local djs. He is also currently working on a web page to support local djs and their productions.
As a Dj he has participated in festivals such as:
Festival de Verano- ( 98,99, 2000, 04, 06 )- This is a festival held by the city of Bogota. Attendance is estimated at 80,000 people.
Ultra mar/ Festival ( 2004, 05, 06) held in the city of Cartagena. 4 day festival, attendance estimated at 40,000. International Djs invited to this festival- Wally Lopez, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Antoine Clamaran among many others.
Summer Dance Festival (2007) held in Cartagena. 5 Day Festival.
In 17 years of career he has done parties in different cities in Colombia such as Cali, Medellin, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Bogota, Pereira and several other cities bringing house, tribal and electro throughout Colombia. In 2007 he was invited to play at Nikki Beach in the opening and closing parties for this year’s Winter Music Conference.

Dj Hector Carrero ha trabajado en la escena electrónica Colombiana desde 1990. Inicio como DJ residente de uno de los clubes mas importante de Bogota, Up and Down. Después entro a trabajar en un mix show en 88.9 La Superestación, una de las emisoras juveniles más importantes del momento. En 1992 entra a BMG Colombia para trabajar como promotor dance donde apoyo el proyecto de Aguja y Vinilo. Después se incorporo a Universal Music donde trabajo como gerente de producto Dance. Durante este periodo lanzo varios compilados; Universal Clubbing, Dance Mix, y el innovador Rave Nation. Rave Nation fue un compilado donde por primera vez en la historia del país se reunían producciones originales de Djs locales. Este álbum recibió muy buenos comentarios de los medios y la escena electrónica local. En el 2002 se convirtió en el director del show de radio Estación Ibiza, programa que salía al aire los fines de semana. Estación Ibiza se convirtió en el espacio donde djs locales e internacionales eran invitados para tocar sets en vivo de las 6 pm a las 6 am todos los viernes y sábados. Estación Ibiza llego a estar en el Top 5 de los espacios radiales de fin de semana por 6 años consecutivos. Actualmente esta trabajando en el sello Bedroom Music como A&R donde se ocupa de encontrar nuevos talentos.
Como DJ ha participado en los siguientes festivales:
