You're right, there's no need to bullshit... and I'm not! I'm forty-four years old and have very eclectic taste. I'd be pleased to check out your other project as well, thank you... although I like Hiss quite a lot.
You shouldn't make snap judgments based on very limited information. I've been in bands doing similar things that you're doing now well over twenty years ago...in fact the bulk of my projects could be considered experimental or noise. Takehisa Kosugi, Nurse With Wounds, Einsturzende Neubauten, Current 93, Psychic TV, Merzbow, and about a million others much less famous have charted out the terrain long before you, mate. That's not even mentioning Dada, the Surrealists, and Fluxus, whose members constructed all manner of fucking weirdness. In other words, although I've been making and listening to vanguard experimental crap for decades I'm now into music with more soul and sentiment and less pseudo-intellectual baggage. Let's face it... odd sounds are not all that unique at this point. That said I think Hiss, joke or not, is cool shit. Take it or leave it.
Don't assume the worst and please, learn to take a compliment!

friendblasters. if you're friend with one dude you can get pretty quickly caught up by heaps of bands trying to get a million views and 100 000 friends in order to get noticed by a record label.
and record labels aren't dumb enough to not be aware of them, but even using them shows that the band is switched on to what's going on.
just when you thought music couldn't get more shallow labels reference myspace as a legitimate source of information!!!
