DJing started as a hobby for DJ Ill Kid Madrid in 94. Since then it has developed into a passion of expression, plus a heart for music-lovers of all ages. His ILLumination has shined across the NM Hip-Hop and Drum n Bass scene for over ten years. Ill Kids influence of early 90s Hip Hop can be heard throughout his set whether he is spinning Hip Hop, Drum n' Bass, Funk or Dancehall.
One of the pioneers in the New Mexico Jungle/Drum n' Bass movement, Ill Kid is a major contender when upon the decks.
AKA MC Boomerang, and known for moving the floor, DJ Ill Kid delivers the Hip-Hop flavored Drum n' Bass vibe with raw beats, mo' bounce, and the flavor your heart so desires. He is renowned for his love of the music and people. IllKid has consistently provided free weekly events in NM including the critically acclaimed Beats on the Patio @ Hardware, Rinse Out, Switch,ReBass and Olive Wednesdays.
DJ Ill Kid has an amazing testimony about how he came to God and shares the message with anyone willing to listen. His vision and method of message is becoming increasingly powerful through music.
