Influences
My influences are Carl Cox, Slipmatt, and Sasha. All these djs did something extra in there sets and stood out with there mixing when i frequented the clubs around 1990 at clubs such as Fantazia,Raindance, Orbit (leeds), Buzbys (London),Shelleys (stoke) The edge (Coventry), Ark (Leeds). For this reason they made me mix better as i always tryed to do unconventional stuff behind the decks, tricks that no one else were doing to the syle of music i was playing.
My newest influences comes from the hip hop world and are Dj Shadow and also DJ Yoda.
I started dj’ing 17 years ago after seeing a dj called dj herbie at an acid house club called The Capricorn club in Sunny old Bradford. I wondered how on earth the dj was mixing and the speed was staying the same so i went over and looked and saw that he had a pitch control on the turntable. The rest is history. I got my first set of 1210’s and then got a 3rd one and now here i am. I like to push the boundries of mixing and do as much as posssilbe but at the same time be as seemless as possible as most of you know who have seen me playing out.
I started out playing hip hop and Italian House and then got into early hardcore (whats known now as oldskool now) playing stuff on labels such as suburban base, impact , reinforced , moving shadow. From here i got into happy hardcore under the name E-logic and this is where i stayed for a few years. I produced hardcore tracks for a number of years for Essential Platinum which is Dougals label and my first hit was called "kick your legs" which samples the strike "your sure do" vocal with great affect. i Secured a residency at the legendary Asylum club at Bowlers in Manchester and found myself playing all over the country.
LOOK INTO MY EYES
Here goes my next switch of styles, from happy hardcore to hardhouse. This happend at the legendary Sundissential club. I went with some friends and loved the music and found it very similar to hardcore in many ways. From here on i know i wanted to play hardhouse so thats what i did. I started making hardhouse tunes and my first one was "Make it happen" which launched my Elasticman Label to great success. I sent the track out to a few labels and Tidy trax were interested but they seemed to be hesitant in signing it and i knew how good it was so i decided to put it out my self and start a label. This label is Elasticman and is now on its 38th release.
As one of the most consistant and in demand Hard Dance djs and producers in the world ilogiks success owes much to his innovative and uncomprimixing syle not only with his music but also with his turntablism skills. He is an inspiration to many.
While so many djs and producers have got loast saturating themselves in current styles and trends ilogik has kept his defining sound and style of mixing. He always endevours to push the boundaries in search of new unique sounds and constantly welcomes new technology and as a result of this is 2 steps ahead of the pack.
Not content with mixing cds and vinyl ilogik has again emraced technology and pioneered a whole new concept of entertainment which only a few are doing worldwide in all scenes, ilogik is the only harddance dvj. Using the revolutionare Pioneer dvj-x1’s he manipulates video images and syncronises them to the music giving the clubber the ultimate experience so rather than the fosus on just dj’ing its on a full performance.
He has wowed crowds worldwide from Holloywood to Aukland to Moscow to Canada and its sure to continue for a number of years and with the sucess of his Elasticman records label and the awsome Elasticman Platinum label things are looking good. So expect many more anthems to add to his list. ILOGIK has played at every event under the sun at places such as Sundissential, Frantic, Party proactive, Tidy Weekender, Global Gathering , Earthcore , Parlez vous, insomniacz, Slinky, Gatecrasher ,The Temple (Dublin), Polysexual . Too many to mention.

Have been a fan since 1998 when was working at heaven in london, as doorman, since then have own decks , and now cdj,s, and have most if not all your mixes, you are definately an inspiration to me and many others , am so glad there is more to come M
