A DJ for over 15 years, he is currently one of the hottest names on the Brazilian trance scene, as well as being one of the major forces behind the strong comeback of this style within the country.
In 2008, Jack was a nominee for the award of “Best New Producer” at the DJ Sound Awards, which generated unprecedented international recognition. Your tracks are on the playlists of renowned DJs such as Paul van Dyk, Judge Jules, Marcel Woods, John O'Callaghan, Flash Brothers, Agnelli & Nelson, Eddie Halliwell, and endless others. He has produced for the labels Maelstrom (UK), Five AM (UK), Diverted Recordings (UK), Communicate Recordings (UK), Backlash (Bonzai) (BE), Discover Dark (UK) and Ananas (BR), and has even been remixed by Airbase, a worldwide trance icon.
He founded and runs Energy BR - http://www.energybr.net - the first and only trance nucleus in Brazil, whose goal is to promote the style and its variations throughout the country. Today the movement counts on support from all the main DJs in Brazil, and is considered the largest nucleus of its kind in South America. Another brainchild was the State of Trance project, an event which launched the trance invasion. It is considered to be the event of the year and has welcomed Ali Wilson, Johan Gielen, Sean Tyas, Menno de Jong and BT (Brian Transeau), in shows held in grand venues such as Anzu, Pacha and Club Nox, where Jack fronts as resident and promoter.
DJ Jack’s career took off in August, 2000 when he was a finalist at the 1st Brazilian Challenge of Electronic Music DJs: Space Jungle – Hypnotic.
In 2004, Jack was one of 12 Brazilian DJs to qualify for Found@Thirst, a worldwide tournament of DJs sponsored by Heineken in Brazil. He was also invited to be a contributor to Beatz Magazine and the website http://www.rraurl.com, the largest music portal in South America, where do he maintain your respected podcast, iTrance. He airs a show on one of the most influential webradios in Holland - Pure DJ - http://www.puredj.com - which lists among its residents Andy Moor, Cor Fijneman, Ronski Speed, DJ Shah, Pedro del Mar, Leon Bolier and Joop.
As recognition for his efforts, he received an invitation to be resident of the 2007 Supernova Project, at Club Lov.e in São Paulo, Brazil which enabled him to play with internationally acclaimed talent Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Sean Tyas, Kyau & Albert, Marcel Woods, Ali Wilson, Johan Gielen, George Acosta, Menno de Jong, Ed Real, AJ Gibson, Juan Atkins, Ade Fenton, Portia Surreal, among others.
Jack presents an eclectic set, influenced mainly by progressive and trance, which results in a euphoric combination of moods and rhythms.
