Born and raised in Toronto, Jason Myles has been exposed a wide variety of music throughout his life. Beginning at a very early age, exposure to his parent's vinyl collection was indeed one of the major contributions to his love for music. Little did he know that 20 years later, his fascination with the turntable would finally come to produce the performances that have lead him to where he is today.
As a relatively late bloomer, Jason's love for electronic music came about in 1998 as a regular partier in the Toronto scene. As his party engine began to burn out, he soon came to realize that it was the love for the music that continued to fuel his fire...not just the aspect of the party. He then decided to embark in a new career as a DJ.
When behind the decks, Jason brings a unique style of mixing consisting of minimal, techno and electronica accompanied by intuitive programming that is sure to get you moving on the dance floor. Having played in all of Toronto's largest and most frequented nightclubs, The Guvernment, Sound Academy (formerly The Docks), Footwork, several Boat Cruises and more, Jason has enjoyed the opportunity to perform for both large audiences and more intimate crowds. With exposure on many live-to-air radio shows, Jason was also invited to produce and feature a mix for Proton Radio, a gold standard in Internet broadcasting for electronic music!!
Currently holding a residency with one of Canada’s top event promoters, TILL THE AM, Jason has been heard rocking parties alongside international artists, RENE AMESZ, RICHARD DINSDALE, SARAH MAIN, LAIDBACK LUKE & SIMON JAIN to name only a few of TILL THE AM’s roster full of local & international talent.
With Jason sweeping up his latest weekly residency at CiRCA, a state-of-the-art MEGA club in the heart of the entertainment district of Toronto, his passion and enthusiasm for the music continues to make a mark on the interests of many in the Canadian electronic music scene!!
While continuing to forward his career as a DJ, Jason has been placing a great deal of focus in music production. With a scheduled remix release on international label BAD CONCEPT RECORDS launching in November 2007, and more tracks in the works, Jason is well on his way to being recognized as one of Canada’s up and coming techno producers!!
Stayed tuned for more exciting news…involving collaborations with BAD CONCEPT artist and label owner JAMES TEEJ and artist JUST PHIL. Future plans for a unique live performance and an upcoming EUROPEAN tour are just some of what is in the works for this exciting new label!
