But I love all styles of music and love dancing to good music. I'm always moving genres and changing things up on people trying to bring them something they don't realize they want. Jay Sh☮k is a 30 year old dj and head of a Light It Up Pr☮ductions. He is part of Light It Up, Integritty Sound, TooWunPhyve, Tru Skool, Natural Born Predators, and Sound Alliance. If you want to know what's going on in Philly's underground he is the guy to ask... Making his own mix tapes as a kid then dancing at Space and other night clubs later, Djing just seemed like the next logical step for this music lover. He has always said it's amazing how the emotion of the music can produce an energy in the people and the energy of the people is what in turn feeds the dj. This ability to manipulate the crowd with the music inspired him to really care about every mix as he learned how to mix jungle n jump up, then spending hours playing techno, house and breaks. Learning from djs back in the days of Space nightclub like Jeff Heart, Dave Mass, Hectic, Circuit Breaker, and Ixia he kept perfecting his craft playing underground events and night clubs on the east coast mixing from genre to genre smoothly taking the crowd on a personal journey thru sound and energy...
Since taking control of Light It Up, Jay has been helping lead the Philadelphia underground to a new level of event. The label has expanded to a 22 dj roster, continuing to add new talent and partners in a continuing effort to help keep the Philly scene alive and together bringing good energy to the masses. With his unbiased approach to things Jay has been able to collaborate with like minded people all over the country including but not only with...
