Johnny Bra$ a/k/a Dj J. Bras specializes in music of many forms, whither it be Rap, Pop, R&B or Alternative. He has been rapping and producing since 1994 and Djing since 1999. Most notable for Djing in Charlotte, NC & Rock Hill, SC. He got his start Djing talent shows and pep-rallies in high school. Then, continuing to grow his name by doing block parties around Charlotte and surrounding areas. He now has a mixtape series of his own, “Straight Off Tha Block”. Music is his passion and that alone gives him his drive to succeed. Starting at a young age, his main goal was to be a rapper and successful producer. Working with his mentor, Mr. Dalvin of Jodeci, he was able to obtain the knowledge of the industry. The do’s and don’ts of the business, per-se. In 2001 he recorded for MCA & Nu America, this album was solely produced and directed by Mr. Dalvin himself. Moving back to Charlotte, NC later that year, he decided to start a label of his own. Several partners and artist later, Johnny Bra$ has finally joined with long time friend and associate, Tavarius, to form imagineit, entertainment. With a strong concentration in pop and commercial music, the labels main goal is to make quality music that will touch the masses.
Johnny Bra$, is currently in the studio working on his upcoming solo album, “Back, Tho' I Neva Left!”.
