Back in '94 or '95, I caught my first taste of jungle/drum n bass at a friends house. His older brother was playing a tape, the sounds of which I had never experienced. Andy C and Hyper D. I'll never forget that day. It turned me on to a whole new style of music, not very well known here in canada. I began trying to find more about this music, and eventually attended my first party, at the age of 13 or 14. There was no turning back at that point. Once I had FELT the music at the club, enough bass to reverberate in your chest, I was sold. Watching DJ's at these parties, I was entranced. A few years later, I bought a cheap mixer, and hooked it up to my 'rents old record players. Playing around a bit, making mixtapes for friends in high school, I began to really get in to the music, but that wasn't enough. I'd had formal musical training at a very young age, and decided I'd like to find out how this music was actually MADE. I began to seek out different software to help me in my productions, as well as taking a high school class 'music in computers' which opened my eyes up to cubase. I began to play out at some smaller parties, getting bookings by word of mouth, which gave me the opportunity to test out my tunes on a crowd. After a while, I began to get more and more in to production, and weaned myself off the DJing for a few years to build some more experience. In that break, I had the opportunity to work with others, including: General Levy, Top Cat, Ogonek & Cooh (Bulgaria), Kigami (Bulgaria), Rakoon/OTM (Germany), Symptom (Poland), Marlee (UK), Black Science Projects (UK), Locked (Canada), MC Flybry (Canada), Miss Accapella (Can), Crisis (Can), To name a few. I don't exactly know how to explain my style, as I usually make all styles of dnb, ranging from Jump up, to Ragga, to Dark/Neuro. In the last 2 years, I have been signed to 'Teeth Recordings', as well as 'Biological Beats', and the latest affiliation is with 'Dangerous New Age'. I look forwards to working with these guys, and getting back to the tech/dark/neuro side of things.
