What tune has defined this year in hard dance for you?
Ouch! That's a hard one, but id say the tune that I personally have loved this year is Paul Janes Middle finger on Hard as Funk recordings. Simple, extremely energetic, fantastic.
What has been your biggest achievement of the year?
The biggest achievement for me this year has to be playing to 4,000 Hard House raving rockers in the main tent at The Bull dog bash festival back in August. I was so worried about choosing the right tracks and not knowing how they would react to my style and progression, I was playing a two hour set warming up for Madam Zu & Mark EG! My style is more chunky techy hard house, but they all went ballistic and made me feel really special. Something that will stay with me for the rest of my life!
What moments in the last year will you always remember?
Emmm, the most memorable moment? Every weekend is memorable for me! But I always seem to forget them after a few Vodka and Cokes! I'd say most memorable has to be when I played @ Es Paradis - Ibiza for Tidy back in July. I played at pool party before the main gig and then went on to Itaca which is on the beach front, the sun was Shining, I was with a crowd of my very best mates, and just to top it off, half way through my set at Es, I turned to see a group of Xstatic regulars that had flew over to catch my set. What more could any DJ ask for... You could say I was Xstatic!!!
What exciting things do you have planned for next year?
Were do you want me to start! Next year sees the full launch of the Xstatic Stompathon Tour, which kicked of at Storm vs Tidy @ The Emporium back in September. Amongst the tours that will be spread across the Uk & Ireland, ill be playing at events such as Storm, Polysexual, Xstatic and of course the Hard Dance Awards @ Plug!Feb 2nd Sees Xstatic throw the biggest event ever held @ The Venue - Xstatic vs Storm vs Sundissential feat Deprivation which has already broke ticket sales. Later on in the year Xstatic meets Vicious Circle and we will be working closely throughout with Deprivation Records. Ill be in the Studio with a legends such as Paul Maddox! But most of all, partying every weekend with the best people on the planet will be what im most looking forward to.

Who will be crowned the King of Hard Dance!?
Voting has now closed for the 5th Annual Hard Dance Awards powered by Trackitdown.net and all eyes are going to be on the awards ceremony to see who are going to be this year’s kings or queens of the Hard Dance scene!
Over 10,000 Hard Dance music fanatics from a staggering 65 countries have made their mark and the organisers at leading dance download store Trackitdown.net are now diligently counting them up in time for the star-studded presentation and party on Friday 29th February at The Plug in Sheffield, UK.
The 14 awards have been hotly contested this year with more votes than ever before proving that the scene is alive and healthy. With loads of new faces, events & labels appearing this year, the awards are ever more important as a barometer of who’s hot and what’s what.
We’ve seen more votes and a crop of new talent emerging this year than in the previous four which proves that the scene has evolved and is going hell for leather in 2008 which is exactly what we want to hear!” says HDA promoter and host Ed Real.
On Friday 29th February The 5th Annual Hard Dance Awards event and ceremony will be an all night event happening at The Plug in Sheffield with the cream of hard dance talent from headliners like Lisa Lashes and Andy Whitby to regional heroes like Jimmy Dean and Lucy Fur.
The awards will be presented in the main room over 3 ten minute sessions throughout the evening. Joining host Ed Real will be personalities including; Kutski, Alex Kidd, Andy Whitby, Organ Donors, Garbo, Tidy’s Kieron Gallagher.
With 33 headline DJ’s and live acts on the bill and 2000 of the UK’s most up for it party people can you afford not to be at the most important date in the hard dance calendar?

After cutting his teeth working as the Promotions Manager for The Emporium and two of the country’s leading
superclubs in Passion and Storm, Jimmy created his own brand – Xstatic – which has gone on to become one of the most
talked about nights in the country and a front runner in the race for UK’s Best Small Club.
Keen to also develop his repertoire as an artist, Jimmy has been working very closely with production wizard Paul
Maddox - developing his own sound with a series of dance-floor bangers to be unleashed later on in 2008.
