Biography by Lisa Marie - Akram Artists
"Joman (Joseph Mancuso) has made a name for himself as an extremely ambitious and long-standing music producer, DJ and vocalist in the genres of trance, house, and industrial music. In the 8 years since first listening to BT's "Movement in Still Life," this talented producer has written hundreds of original tracks, performed at prominent music events along with world-famous headliners, and released his debut album, "Bleeding Heart Synchronicity."
His musical roots are in trance, particularly old-school trance. Influenced by Darude, BT, and close, personal mentors such as DJ Sirkit and DJ Kreammy, Joman has created his own style, which includes an eclectic range of trance and house. To this he also adds a sense of artistic darkness and depth with his inclusion of industrial sounds. The hard sound of tracks like "No Junk No Soul" and the melodic, flowing vibe of tracks like "Axiom" attest to his versatility as a producer, and the broad range of emotions he derives his music from.
As if producing hundreds of original tracks was not enough, he has gained a following at many notable events including Andromeda, Pyrotechnics, Illuminati (where he succeeded at performing alongside, and getting to meet his long-time idol, BT) and most recently performed alongside Darude in 2008.
His hard work and musical production skills captured the attention of prominent artists such as Nitemer and GHOSH, who recruited Joman to play his new track "The Flow" to a packed crowd at The Church. In addition, his deep and melodic trance sounds earned him radio play that led to a show on Clear Channel's 93.3's E-11.
Recently Joman was discovered by DJ Vanish of One Productions, who immediately signed him to his indie side label, Velcro City Records. The deal resulted in Joman's remix of Vanish's "Mile High City" being downloaded internationally from BEATPORT.COM in such locations as the Netherlands, Vietnam, the Ukraine and others. It also resulted in a Beatport exclusive release of Joman's track, "Simple Memory," featuring remixes by several artists, including Vanish himself, whose remix ended up in the top 100 charts on the site."
Eraserhead is perhaps the weirdest film I've ever seen. Nice sampling! The girl in the heater creeps me out. The crying baby in the movie is a real trip too. I like "In Heaven" a lot!

In Heaven is sweet. I love the scratching and the harmonies and the little high-mids that come in about 3:40. well-tuned song, brother.
maybe bring out mid-level frequencies more, especially for the arpeggio pattern that comes in after the little break about 1:40. maybe add some overdrive or distortion? in my ears, it's a bit too clean for the rest of the song.
sweet, though. ends well too.
we should start bouncing unfinished projects off one another
