Son of New Orleans R&B band leader Jeff Tyson, DJ. Ka-Neck aka Quentin Tyson started mixing and dj-ing off & on since he was 14 yrs old doing a couple high school dances and parties. At age 20 he managed and co-owned a nightclub while being influenced by New Orleans top Black Club Circiut dj's like Capt. Charles, DJ Wild, DJ Marv. Big Al, OJ the Magnificent, DJ Niecey, DJ Larry Bird, and a few others. His father Jeff Tyson taught him how to arrange and mix sound under Ka-Nection Audio & Lighting. In 2002 Ka-Neck while serving in the Navy he hooked up with upcoming recording artists Double Ya Bet via lead producer Kango. In 2005 he moved to Baltimore due to Hurricane Katrina and worked with his mentor Dawuld Ibrahiym. Ibrahyim taught Ka-Neck the fundamentals of mixing. Now DJ Ka-Neck is a pro digital mix dj opening for The Ka-Nection Band and Ka-Nection Entertainment. Today DJ Ka-Neck is producing his version of club re-mixes, mixing old school & new school together, marketing his work for dj's and artists only. His mixes can be heard all over the Baltimore NightClub set.
