Kate Lawler is unquestionably one of the most in demand and popular female Djs in the UK today. Over the last 12 months she has rocked the UK's finest clubs and festivals playing with the likes of Eric Prydz, David Guetta, Sebastien Leger, Steve Angello, 2 many DJ's, Nic Fancuilli, James Zabelia, Martijn Ten Velden the list could go on... Add this to her monthly residency for arguably the best club in the country - Sankeys, playing some of Ibiza's leading clubs and managing to start her own productions in the studio!, its easy to see why Kate is quickly rising to the top!
One of the main ingredients to Kate's rapid rise to the top is her energy and enthusiasm behind the CDJ's. Sometimes its hard to tell who is having the most fun, the crowd or Kate! Kates ability to adapt any environment she is put in is amazing. Whether it be deep tech house and techno in the main room at Sankeys or big room house at The Honey Club, wherever she plays - she will rock it!
With big things planned for 2008, including a new radio show, and monthly podcast on the way, trips to Asia, Australia and everywhere in between, a rammed diary of the UK's finest venues and some serious studio time as well, its shaping up to be another fine 12 months for our Kate.
With so many people speculating what style she plays, and what her sets are like, Kate has decided to take a step (perhaps an early one) in to music production. "I wanted to put a track out so everyone can hear my style as a DJ. I didn't intend on getting in to the studio so quickly after learning to DJ but I'm working with a great producer and cant wait to get my sound out there". May 2007 was the month she did this, you can hear her very own remix of Goldrixx featuring Andrea Brown's "It's Love (Trippin)" on her myspace music player.
