Kolombo Collaborators is subproject of dj Kolombo who showed up in the beginning of 2007. KoloColl was created for realization of music ideas, which concerned with free improvisation. Parts of all instruments are interlacing with each other to a whole expressive sound stream without emptiness and usual melodious passages. The big preference is given to a timbre, a swinging and a nuances of sounding of each instrument. This is in his way a continuation of old project dj Kolombo, Intuitive Music Trio, which was created in Vilnius in the late eighties. Kolombo Collaborators is a squall of sounds and energy.
The members of KoloColl:
Pavel Priyatniy – alto saxophone
He is a multiinstrumentalist. He worked in jazz orchestra. He had collaborated with a group Superfruit for a some time. Now he is working in a project with Ayrat Shiryaev. He has a passion for street jams.
Pavel Myakenkiy – bass
His projects are Spies Boys and Naked Jacket. He is a poet in a spare time.
Dj Kolombo - drums
From the middle of eighties he has been in a permanent creative search. He took part in infinitely many musical, theatrical, art and literary projects. Thanks to the support of Alexey Borisov, Vladimir Tereh, Alexander Starostin and Andrey Susdalev and many others creative personalities and groups he has a good chance to express his ideas from a stage.
Sometimes the project acts as duet of piano and bass.

1982 – the beginning of musical activity, creation of the first school music duo with schoolmate Romuald Alekhnovich (now – the opera artist, working at State Opera and Ballet of Vilnius, Lithuania). Interest to free jazz (Ganelin / Tarasov / Chekasin trio) and to electronics(Sven Gruemberg, Reinhard Lakomi).
1986-1993 – active learning of jazz improvisation basics on piano and drums, forming interest to the fusion style, taking part in jazz trio.
1989-1992 – creation of IMT (Intuitive Music Trio) with: Andrey “Palych” Uspenskiy (trumpet, piano) (†1999), Sergey Vasilyev Oddmin (acoustic guitar). Developing the conceptions in “ECM” label style. Organisation of students Friday jam-sessions in the Vilnius University. The recording of soundtracks to the number of documentaries, devoted to the Lithuanian young people’s life. Shooting the IMT documentary about IMT by one of the young Lithuanian independent director.
1991 – the move to Moscow. Numerous unsuccessful attempts to join Moscow jazz circles. Work with Moscow rock bands (“Diesel”, “NII Psychiatrii”, “Plastilinovye Dyatly”, “Makar Band”, Beliy Proekt” and others).
1992 – “ARTJAZZDUO” project including “Free Step” program with Andrey Belyaikin, the step dancer of Abramov’s drama studio. Writing and playing the music for Andrey Makhlin’s (Anatoliy Vasilyev’s student) play, based on Thomas Mann’s story.
1993 – discovering and getting interested by the music of Fred Frith, Cassiber, Suicide and other underground musicians.
1995 – getting acquainted with the artist Andrey Suzdalev, cooperative production of the music show “Tom Lee John Hooker Waits”, starting the “Tremenda Nota” project. Working as professor at “INTOYO” music club.
1995 -1997 – Moscow IMT (Intuitive Music Trio) period, featuring Pavel Myakenkiy (guitar) and Valeriy Kozlov (bass). Also collaborating with the trio: Denis Yurovskiy (guitar, percussion), Sergey Suchkov – Serge Bole (vocal), Alyona Gorodetskaya (vocal).
1996 – getting acquainted with Nikolay Nebogatov (NN Kikkoman) in the SNC studio, cooperation in “Danger To Medulla” duo project.
1997 – starting “Spies Boys” project.
1999 – starting “DJ Kolombo ” solo project.
2002 – starting “412” project together with Andrey Uskov – Boxhead (guitar) and Kate Cobra (vocal). Live project guests: Pavel Chuyev (bass), Valera Kozlov (bass), NN kikkoman (drums)
2003 – cooperation with Sonya Merkulova in the “Techno-techno” project.
2004 – cooperation with the “Toe-In” project.
2006 – starting the projects: “Kolombo collaborators” (free jazz) and “Naked Jacket” (Oxford rock).
2007-2008 – concept change of SB music (ambient jazz)
2008 – collaboration with Volodya Terekh-Raf-Sergey Letov-Vadim Pravilov (KhLAM) (punk jazz)
2009 - “Kolombo collaborators” renamed KoloColl and has new member Pavel Priyatny on alt sax
