Dj kristoff started djing in december 2002, having picked up the basics while working as a club rep in Newquay. His first residency was held at the Navy Inn in Penzance playing every Sunday during the summer of 2003. Gaining experiance and confidence in 2004 he then moved onto the Barn nightclub in Penzance working as a lighting jock and warm up dj, 3 months on his first club residency started. During this period he played many warm up sets for big name dj's i.e. Mark Sherry, Andy Farley, Tomcraft, Farley Jackmaster Funk and many more. He has also teamed up with Madam Zu hosting a 3 date reunion night playing old skool rave and hardcore classics. After leaving the Barn in 2005 his personal style had developed considerably moving onto a more breakbeat and electro house vibe, feeling confident he entered the Movida Corona International Dj Tournament. The first round being held at the Koola Bar (Newquay), the second at Panache(Bristol) and the U.K final at the Ministry Of Sound(London). Finishing in 6th position out of 500 entrants he felt very happy with his achievment in such a short space of djing. Also in 2005 Kristoff started playing at the M.I.bar in Falmouth playing monthly on wednesday nights. This then developed into the friday night residency he now holds. As a spin off from the Movida comp he also started playing at the Bosuns locker in Penzance for the Beatzbreakers an established night of 5 years. Playing at the are big names such as Rennie Pilgrem,J.D.S,Scratch Perverts etc. So 2007 is here with more stuff in the pipeline and another competition he has entered who knows what will bring for him...... 2007 update so into 2007 its been a busy year so far,changing my friday night residency to the L2 in truro and the amount of promotors im playing with. first up the L2,the nights have been going really well playing along side the finger lickin crew(scott nixon,slyde etc)also djs such as ctrlz, des mitchel and idc. then onto the promotors love riot,tranzaction(there funkier side)and littlesouth. i have been doing various gigs with all of them over the last few months and each one seems to be getting better and better. this summer has also seen alot of big parties happening as well,the secret st.ives bash(you know what i mean if you were there),local produce(good effort tom) and surfstock2007(biggest one yet)etc etc.... with more things in place for the rest of the year WATCH THIS PAGE FOR MORE INFO or check out LITTLESOUTH.com the forums.
