DJ K Yung also known as Rachel Hagen. (Owner and artist manager of Seoul Sound Management) was born in Seoul South Korea in 1983. Abandoned after birth, the orphanage in Seoul named her Shin Kyung Ban. How she decided on her DJ name is more than just a catchy word she says, “That part of my life is what I truly believe is the whole real reason I’m here. The whole story is may sound sad that I was abandoned but I don’t see it that way. I see it as a blessing.” So she then took Kyung and established now, DJ K Yung. (Pronounced kay ~ young)
After being adopted as a baby, DJ K Yung fell in love with music which was inspired by her new adopted family at the earliest age she can remember. "My mother was (and still is) a church choir director and singer, and my father sings as well, along with many relatives who are music teachers, dancers, and music majors, it was in me all along." says DJ K Yung. "My parents enrolled me when I was just only 3 years old in a music program called Suzuki. I learned how to play the violin and cello all by ear." she recalls. She didn't pick up the ear for DJ’ing until she was 17 years old. "I remember messing around on vinyl when I was at my friend’s house back in high school. We started really getting into it after sometime, and he and I ended up purchasing better equipment. Nothing came about after that though." She states. "He got into trouble with the law so I ended up selling it after I found out he wasn't coming home." She didn't pick back up until almost 6 years later when she was asked to DJ for a graduation party. "My friend asked me if I knew any DJ's available for her sister graduation. I couldn't think of any on the short notice she gave me and then the idea came to me that I thought I could make at least a feeble attempt at it. I had to tell her though, it had been awhile. “As she states with a laugh. It had been so long in fact that the equipment had to be rented for the event. Not anymore. DJ K Yung now owns 2 Technics (DZ1200), Serato, Dennon mixer, and Mackie sound board.
With the fast paced success of her career as a DJ, K Yung has virtually been unstoppable. She currently is an active member in four DJ coalitions (Fleet DJs/ Future Star DJs/Airstrike DJs/Coast 2 Coast Mixtape DJs), had a stint as a radio DJ at KALA 88.5, DJ'd at numerous major concerts and has had so many local shows she can’t tell you the exact number. She is currently is working on a independent mixtape series (The series is designed to showcase independent artists whose music get to be mixed in with industry artists.) as well as other mixtapes series with special industry guests hosting. (Currently she is the number one female mixtape DJ in both Iowa and Illinois) On top of that she was the tour DJ for a mini Bad Boy South/D Block "Hood to Hood" showcase tour as well. Her interview roster is long and it includes names such as Murphy Lee (Derrty Ent), Big Duke (Block Ent/Bad Boy South), Bigg Jigg (Koch Records), JC (Block Ent/Bad Boy South), Trina (Slip N Slide) and more. She sits on the board of I.U.M.M (Iowa Urban Music Movement founded and ran by Core DJ, DJ Commando) and also is assisting with the expansion of the DJ division. And if that isn’t enough she is the President of Multi Platinum Producer Hardley Davidson’s Burnin Rubber Music Group Asian Division. “I have been blessed truly by everything that has happened to me in such a short time." She states. “I’ve been lucky to have had some very talented DJs believing in me and seeing the vision I have of being a true female DJ. Between owning my own company and working with the amazing and talented people I’ve been so fortunate to work with there is nothing for me to do but keep rising.” Indeed DJ K Yung is a rising star and with nothing for her to do but keep aiming towards the top. This once orphaned baby now finds her home right where she belongs. In the house of music.

Wouldnt think it would be fair if I didnt send it to you too.....
Sorry.........
It seems to be pretty obvious that we are no longer friends. We don't ever see each other anymore and probably never will, as long as I am a DJ. That's fine...You are a nice person and yes you are good at the promotions you do. I honestly wish you the best. You would probably do better without Rachel. With that being said, I am about to say somethings that may sound hurtful but it is not meant to be taken in a hurtful manner, especially to you. I am not trying to start a fight or anything like that. I just want you to understand where my feelings come from then you or anyone associated with SC will never hear from me again. Don't bother replying trying to prove me wrong because what I am about to say is the TRUTH. Other people(DJs) who have worked with Rachel agree with me. I honestly wish you the best Sara................ Okay..Here we go.... The big problem that I have, is that you make yourself look silly and you lose all your credential by promoting the worst DJ from here to who knows where....It is becoming clear to me that you and everyone you "roll" with are blind to that fact. The Twilight Zone CD is pure garbage, and I do have the credentials to make that statement. Nothing on that CD is special or original....I feel sorry for the Kaps having her as a DJ and any other Artists that she DJ's for. It seems like no one in SC has the balls to tell Rachel how horrible and stupid she sounds. If she has any fans, it is because that is all they know and never have heard a real DJ. I feel sorry for them too. You guys are tricking people into thinking that s
