lawrence began arranging music when he was around fourteen years old, using an ms-dos based application called impulse tracker. he managed to produce minimal "experimental" tracks but was bewildered by the amount of controls and lack of documentation for the application. those tracks have been lost amongst the years.
"music has played a massive role in my life, i want future generations to experience music in the ways that i have, and give them the same feeling i get when i hear that perfect track at the perfect time..."
time would pass, and lawrence would stray away from music for a few years and focus on graphic design and software development. entering the age of sixteen, music started to play an ever increasing role in his life. he began to study and understand the meanings between genres, and each genres specific "anatomy".
"...that's what this is all about for me, its not about money, its not about status, its about taking control of a crowd, the ability to move them with my mind, my creativity, my love for music."
lawrence acquired a set of cd turntables and began to experiment with them, this did not last very long as the lack of control over the music was quite the annoyance. years would pass and his record collection grew while he used his friend's technic's to practice on. he now owns a set of numark ttx1 turntables and a record collection that has increased exponentially.
"from breaks to trance, hardstyle to drum and bass. i try to remain eccentric yet still appealing with my music."
increasingly intrigued by electronica, he purchased a copy of fruityloops (now flstudio) and began piecing tracks together. nearly a thousand pieces of complete and incomplete music are stored on his workstation now, and only a few tracks have met his personal critiquing.
"i have an appreciation for music that i know people around the world have, no matter what race, nationality, religion--or lack thereof...we all have the art of music in common"
so...i was thinking...this weekend we could get together and play board games - only if i can be partners with your mom. no really, she's great! what do you think?
I'm glad your made it home safe. Well...not really since you take my woman away from me. We better not hear about some half hawaiian half Larry baby any time soon.
