DJ Leviathan (Mike Corvington) has been tearing up the Los Angeles Hip Hop circuit and producing music since early 1998. In 2000 he linked up with long time friends to form the Hip Hop group known as The Metamorphs who have graced the stage and performed with legendary acts such as Nas, KRS-1, Big Daddy Kane, Sugar Hill Gang, A Tribe Called Quest, The Visionaries, Living Legends, Special Ed, , Madlib, and many more.
After graduating from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor’s Degree in Television Production in 2004, Mike found his way to Elias Arts, a music production company located in Santa Monica where he worked as a Composer and Production/ Business Affairs Coordinator. In 2007 Mike Corvington & fiancé Jeanine Strong started their own promotion and production company called, Urban Beat Productionz. Among other things, the company hosts a weekly Hip Hop event called Urban Underground every Friday in Los Angeles, and runs their private recording studio/editing facility located in Hollywood.
Leviathan currently works full time as a club dj / turntablist, freelance composer, editor and recording engineer and is responsible for production and recording of all Jeanine Strong’s music as well as a variety of other artists including The Metamorphs, Pow Shadowz, The Cool Catz, and many more. You can catch DJ Leviathan performing live every Friday at Urban Underground located at The Airliner (2419 N. Broadway, Los Angeles CA 90031), and every Saturday at The Rack in Woodland Hills.
