DJ MANAIA -
I am a dj and promotor from Lisbon since 1999, but I started mixing earlyear with the age of 14 at home with my uncle's turntables. A few years later I played in several bars and clubs at the legendary Bairro Alto in Lisbon, but it was in the area of Santos in Lisbon, in the club Fluid where I started to show my skills, known for being an irreverent dj but at the some time worried about intruducing new sounds and grooves to my audience.
In 2005 I opened a venue with my mate José Canas, it was called Clube Mercado, a venue in Lisbon that received great national and international shows! In Clube Mercado I was the resident dj and promotor of several events that was a mark in Lisbon’s night life: Dj Premier, Dj A-Trak, Nicola Conte, Bonde Do Role, Buraka Som Sistema, Boozoo Bajou, Kid Loco, Idjut Boys, Jahcoozi, Putsch’79, among many others. Clube Mercado was, as well, a venue open for all kinds of music and promotors.
After Clube Mercado was closed, I opened Mini-Mercado in Santos. I usually play there on Saturdays being this my main dj residence.
In all this years I already played all over Portugal... Lisboa (Fluid, Frágil, Estado Liquido, Clube da Esquina, Purex, Lounge, Left, Op Art, Lux), Porto (Plano B, Gare Club, Trintaeum, Bazaar, Industria), Bragança, Braga, Chaves, Aveiro, Viseu, Coimbra, Castelo Branco, Figueira da Foz, Caldas da Rainha, Rio Maior, Leiria, Evora, Sto.Andre, Zambujeira do Mar, Albufeira, Madeira and Açores... I can say that I've seen the most beautifull places in Portugal.
I already played as well in UK, Bristol at Native with Tayo, Oxford at The Cellar with Hannah Holland and Les Petits Pilous, Portsmouth at Sumo. and in London at Cargo with Deekline and Beni G, at Bar Rumba with Ragga Twins and at Catch with Zombie Disco Squad. Also in Paris at Social Club with The Booty Call Crew, in Vienna with Joyce Muniz, in Nuremberg, in Munich, in Rosenheim, in Marseille, in Catania, in Milan at Wonka, etc. etc....
My style is difficult to describe because I play everything that bounces the dancefloor... it can be hip-hop, brokenbeat, house, electro or rock... anyway, free style where the sounds of ghettos from all over the world are evident, the Baile Funk from Rio de Janeiro, the Bmore Club from US, the Kuduro of Luanda and Lisboa, the Breakbeat and Dubstep from London, etc.! A-Trak, Dj Ayres, Diplo, Fake Blood, Switch, Crookers, Buraka Som Sistema, Sinden, Herve or Jack Beats are my favourite producers at the moment. I'm fan of Portugal home made and it’s usual for me to promote my favourites in my shows. I currently playing with Serato Live Scratch, trying to keep it as most old school as possible, since I allways played vynil, this is my favourite format...

4. urodziny HUNGRY HUNGRY MODELS (histeria lubi się powtarzać) ft.:
DROP THE LIME (Trouble & Bass/NYC)
DRUMS OF DEATH (Greco-Roman/London)
SLAM DUNK & SPOX
Już od czterech lat Hungry Hungry Models wypełniają klubowe parkiety euforią, epifanią i ekstazą. Nie ważne gatunki i podziały – ważne, by wywołać radość i szczęście.
Obaj łączą didżejskie sety z elementami live actu, obaj w trakcie występów śpiewają – Drop The Lime jak wkur*****y Sinatra, Drums Of Death jak zły brat bliźniak Ozzy’ego.
„Jak Oni Śpiewają” jeszcze nigdy nie było tak ekscytujące.
Obok zagranicznych gości, z jubilatami zagrają przyjaciele z boiska – wrocławscy didżeje nomadyczni z duetu Slam Dunk oraz czarodziej gramofonów i muzycznej produkcji Spox. Będzie gwiazdorsko, będzie długo i głośno, będzie niesamowicie i niegrzecznie. Lepiej nie mówcie mamom, gdzie idziecie 14 listopada.
