Marco G’s reputation as Quebec’s and Montreal’s leading DJ and producer has a unique history. It started with his long attachment to his hometown by supporting local clubs and radioshows. His dedication landed him one of the most prestigious residencies in the province starting with Dagobert nightclub and Circus Nightclub, one of Quebec and Montreal’s mecca clubs attracting the likes of Axwell, Roger Sanchez, Fedde Le Grand, David Guetta, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren and more…
His weekly contributions on Quebec’s only electronic radio program Euphoria on Radio Energie 98.9FM is followed by the masses in anticipation to find out what the latest hits are in the music scene. In addition, Marco takes part of a weekly Top10 update on one of the few French music portals www.caissedeson.com supporting the electronic music scene.
His constant support to the Canadian and Quebec scene in particular earned him titles in events during Quebec's 400 years anniversary playing along side Moby, Tiesto, Bran Van 3000 with a 70,000 fans attending the event.
His production skills landed him one of the most notorious awards in Canada. On September 10th 2007, Marco G was honored a "GÉMEAUX" prize from the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television for the musical theme of the Tv series "Minuit, Le Soir". Marco G shared this prize with his partners Mathieu Desaulniers, Dj Kal & Nicolas Maranda.
His perseverance and determination caught the eyes of many labels and producers around the globe starting at home where his tracks got licensed and featured on several MC Mario national Mix Compilations selling more than 500,000 Albums in Canada alone and featured on Mc Mario's Top10 Charts almost every month. Internationally, Marco G got involved with the house elite such as David Guetta's producer Joachim Garraud which landed him a remix spot for his famous "Invasion" Compilation.
His collaborations with Amin Golestan landed him remix and single projects on labels like Little Mountain (Sander Kleinenberg), InStereo (ran by DJ Dan), Eyezcream, Opaque, Spinnin’. His remixes of “Thrapp” and “The Seashore” on Little Mountain were the highlight of the label, topping the Beatport global chart for weeks and claiming the support of Sander Kleinenberg, Dave Seaman, Sander van Doorn, Hernan Cattaneo, Desyn Masiello and more. Marco is even taking part of “This is Sander Kleinenberg” double compilation CD mixed by the man himself and launched in Ibiza for the summer season followed by an international release.
His latest solo project on EyezCream called “Faith” feat. PsychNerd lifted his international support by claiming Armin van Buuren, Tiesto and Ferry Corsten’s favorites. While labels such as Pacha, Ultra, Toolroom, InCharge, Nero are lining up to score some of his best work.
Marco G belongs also to a group of DJs sponsored by Native Instrument’s Traktor, the leading technology in future DJ-ing. Marco uses Traktor Scratch Pro to push the boundaries of DJ capabilities and improve the DJ experience by providing feedback to Native Instruments in order to improve the technology.
Marco G’s hard work and long experience enabled him to support producers around the world by launching his own label titled “No Requests Music” with acclaimed artists such as Muzikjunki, Veerus & Maxie Devine, Etienne Ozborne, Dean Newton, Noir, Gabriel Vezolla, Nino Anthony and more.
He is also working hard on his first double compilation titled “NO REQUESTS” comprising of many original tracks for the first CD while the second CD will include remixes compiled into a mix from his latest collaborations with producers like Dave Seaman, Sander Kleinenberg, Muzikjunki, Joachim Garraud, Austin Leeds, DJ Preach and more… “NO REQUESTS” will jump start Marco G’s tour supporting the album around the world.
Marco G’s name is bound to be among the rising stars of today, his constant nominations on Beatport’s top chart with every release is a mere proof that his work is respected and supported by DJs and fans all around the world.
