Mario Peralta hails from the Mexican final frontier, Tijuana. This bodertown that shares its walls with San Diego CA i s home to the cutting edge musical devolpments due to its proximity to the fisrt world. After the boom caused by Mexican live acts "NORTEC COLLECTIVE" Mario and all his mates where very happy in the Tijuana club and party scene of the late 90's and early 2000's. However Mario thought that his vocation was the kitchen, so in 2001 he set off to northern Italy to a academy where he can learn the culinary arts. It is in Europe that Mario learns what he had known deep down inside for a while.....he loved house music and everything that comes with it.
After finishing his culinary studies, Mario returns to Mexico and works in the resteraunt business. In 2004 hooked up with Tijuana promotor Tony TEE, and became partners in the Connected party crew of Tijuana. They provided the entertainment for young kids..18-28 year olds that lived in a city where djs, and djs on the world club circuit would always miss stopping. People in Tijuana had to drive 4 hours to catch a good show, Tijuana was not like it was 4 or 5 years earlier, it was a bore. After months of partys, weekly events at diferent clubs and bars, things in Tijuana started cooking. Mario and promotor Tony Tee joined forces with what has now become North Mexicos strongest party promotor, the digital pill crew, www.pastilladigital.com . In a short time the PD crew was doing its thing all over northern Mexico in cities like Tijuana, Monterrey and based out of Ciudad Juarez, bordertown with El Paso Texas. They book artists that had no idea these places existed but after spinning for the PD crew, will always recall the young Mexican promoters and the great fans they have in north Mexico.
His style...he is a dj that knows what to spin and how to spin it.....he is an ace at breaks, techy breaks, electro house goodness and since about 16 months ago is captivated by a diferent sound... Mario Pd is spining some of the most weird, raw, twisted and minimal techy stuff he can find. It is a sound that captivates and confuses many people durning his weeklies and monthlys in Mexico, but slowly like surley, they have grown to love the underground sound of techy minimal music.....its bizzare unpredictable beats and sounds make it the choice style for this young man, who is by far the leader of a whole new batch of young Mexican djs. He has spun allthrough Mexico, Califronia and even a bit in Spain...he is on his way to some exposure and on the rise, in his experiences with pastilla digital he has warmed up or closed nights with the likes of..Steve Porter, Anthony Pappa, Desyn Masiello, Satoshi Tomiie, Mazi, Jay Tripwire, Nathan Coles, Damian Lazarus and this summer is booked for shows with djs like Bill Patrick, Cass, Matt Tolfrey and Pier Bucci....
