About me:
Brief history on how I got into DJ’ing: I have been obsessed with music from a very early age, but really I would say my passion for electronic music began in the 80’s with the new wave movement. In the 90’s my musical tastes evolved and took many turns and twists through Industrial, Synthpop, Darkwave, and EBM, but in the background that mysterious sound of cool House music that DJ’s played in the clubs drew me out to the nightlife like a moth to the flame. It wasn’t until the late 90’s that I first discovered Trance, but that moment had a profound impact on my life and I have since been hopelessly addicted to Trance, Progressive House, and many genres of Electronic Dance Music, along with the culture and scene that accompanies it.I always wanted to be a DJ, but it was just one of those dreams you have in life that you tell yourself “it’ll never happen so why bother???” But finally in 2006 I got tired enough of just being in the audience to buy my first digital mixer (Pioneer DJM800) and two Technics 1200MK2’s, and began practicing and taking lessons. Soon I added a added a couple Pioneer CDJ 1000MK3’s and it wasn’t long after that I had my first gig at a club in Portland. Since then I have had several sets air in Portland on KNRK 94.7.FM, have many recorded sets playing on Internet radio all over the world, and have a couple residencies at dance clubs around Portland. I have also DJ’ed private parties and weddings.
No idea where this is taking me, but I have enjoyed the ride so far!
