Since taking over as Editor of ATM Magazine in 2007, the support from all corners of the industry has been incredibly positive and it has been much appreciated. The fortunes of the world’s longest standing drum and bass publication are on the rise and I am really pleased with the progress we’ve made and aim to continue breaking new ground throughout 2008 and beyond. Email: editor@atm-mag.com for all ATM related biz.
Another big development has been my relocation from Manchester (my home for 11 years) to London. This has worked out great; in many ways I have the best of both worlds – developing new links and work in the capital while returning to Manc for gigs like Metropolis/The Warehouse Project and to see friends and fam. I currently host a show on pyro.radio.com (first Wednesday of the month from 11pm-12) and when you DJ for Hospital Records, interview Jill Scott and see Mos Def/Dizzee Rascal live, all in the space of a week, you know you’ve made the right move.
I’ve recorded three mixes this year, which you can find on this page. For me they represent credible and quality drum and bass music so please feel free to check them out. If you catch me live at any of the shows in my calendar you can expect to hear a no-clanging mixing policy, plus a knack of only selecting good drum and bass music, I've played with just about every big name in the scene and I've always held my own. I hold down a residency at Metropolis, after founding the night nearly 5 years ago with Prophecy and Silver. The night’s become one of the UK's biggest drum and bass events. For all DJ enquiries or bookings send me a message.
Apart from being Editor of ATM and DJing, I manage a project called Decks 4 Schools, which provides music and dance workshops in school and youth centres. This is a massive project, it takes up a great deal of my time and is ultimately very rewarding.
