Mark O had his first residency when he was 17(1998). He “giged” around in several venues and from 2001 to 2003, he played as a resident dj at the “Jazz&Blues” club where he had the chance to promote and produce several events.
He created raven-records.com, an electronic music platform, designed to support the dance scene and to promote his and others work.
By studying in Porto, from 2000 to 2004, Mark O kept in touch with that city's club culture and got the know the work of several national and international artists.
Since 2003 he established himself as a freelancer and plays regularly in some of the most reputable clubs in central Portugal: Sushi Electronica, Fish & Studio Night Club, Soho, Lemon, Alibi Club, in Leiria; Fama space in Lisboa; 28bar-music lovers in Aveiro, Zeitgeist Caffe in Figueira da Foz, Rosis and HotRio Danceclub in S.Pedro Moel among several others.
He has shared the decks with several Portuguese djs: Alex Santos, Rui Vargas. Tozé Diogo, Nuno Di Rosso, Djazzy, Renato, Rita Zukt, Tânia Pascoal, Oliver N, Elton Cunha, Yolk, Pedro Menício, Victor L, Alex Figueira, Diogo Menasso.. among others, and played in several events.
He had a monthly residency at Fish Night Club, in Leiria from January’05 until July’06, being promoted then to resident dj, where he remained until April’07.
He works now as resident dj and booking director of Verniz (www.vernizmate.com)
As a producer, he has been working on some tracks, played along the dj scene. One of which was released by DanceClub magazine in a promotional cd named “Future Club 7” (December’04).
