It is a question that plenty of people have been forced to ask themselves as the catchy little name becomes increasingly more popular. The answer to it begins back in 2001…when Mark Witz decided to venture into DJing through a love of belt-drive turntables, dirty underground clubs, and Daft Punk. While attending college at Grand Valley State University and honing his skills as a DJ, Mark was lucky enough to meet a number of influential people in the Grand Rapids, Michigan nightlife scene who helped him get his DJ career started. Since then, he’s worked tirelessly to turn himself into a name synonymous with successful club nights, excellent mixing, and all-around good times. Never limiting himself to just one musical style, DJ Mark Witz prides himself on always knowing what will make the people dance. It is also that very ability to play so many genres of music that has landed him gigs all over, from downtown Chicago to the suburbs of Detroit. Currently, you can catch DJ Mark Witz behind the decks at one of his numerous residencies in the Grand Rapids area, or tune into his radio mixshow on 1045 WSNX, every Sunday night from 10 to 11 PM. ....
