Seiji Matsunaga aka DJ Matsunaga was born in Ibaraki, Japan in 1977. He has been actively DJing since 1999. He formed the Japanese trance duo called "The Originators" with his friend Hiroaki Ueda in 2003, and started producing tracks.
In 2004,DJ Matsunaga started the independent label called "Sevensenses Recordings" with Hiroaki and their friend "DJ Yummy" to make Japanese trance music known to the world. The Originators has released a 12-inch single entitled "Lost Emotion - Stardance EP" and also has released a CD album named "Pleasure". Both of them were praised as great masterpieces that changed the trance music history of Japan.
The Originators not only produce world-class tracks but have been actively spinning live in many clubs in Japan as well.
In 2005,DJ Matsunaga released a Japanse artisits compilation CD album entitled "Various Artists - TRANCE for DJ Vol.1 compiled by DJ Matsunaga" in March. This work introduced many excellent Japanese artists to the world. Recently, Hiroyuki Oda, an Sevensenses Recordings artist, signed with Armada.
Sevensenses Recordings becomes more and more high-quality, and has expanded.
