  • Bio

Matt Rowan’s DJ career spans two decades of house music and continues to grow and evolve today. Having commenced his first residency back in 1998, Matt has gone on to become a regular at many a Sydney nightclub and event. A style that’s been described as “Bass-driven House Music”, Matt’s sets incorporate a strong rhythmic and techy feel whilst remaining light hearted and funky: A combination which gets any dance floor moving! This dance floor oriented approach to set structure and programming, combined with deft skills, has seen Matt hold residencies at Sounds on Sunday, Habit, Robotique and Sydney’s premier progressive night SweetChilli. With dates both at home and abroad, 2006 saw Matt make his WMC debut with numerous guest appearances alongside some of the industry’s finest, whilst 2008 promises to be a big year with further dates in Europe and South America. Making his production debut in 2005, Matt soon went on to compile a solid catalogue of tunes and remixes on a variety of labels – Hope, Baroque, Only, Rapid Response, Proton and Babylon to name a few. His international hits Tomorrow, Keep Sake, This That and The Other, join remixes of Static Noise and Latenta Project on various compilations and he is in demand on the remix front. Whether it be with production buddies Jaytech or Robbie Lowe, Matt’s tunes are regularly played by the world’s DJ elite - Seaman, Warren, Cattaneo, Masiello, Fair, Sasha, Zabiella, Digweed, Porter et al. Equally at home bangin’ out the progressive at the festival, or groovin’ away to the tech house in the back room, you can be assured that Matt’s music sets to impress, with a healthy dose of funk, drive and swagger. (Matt’s debut Artist Album – I Play This is scheduled for release early September 2008 on Baroque Records) ............ .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... ......Myspace Layout Generator.. by LayoutGeneratorMyspace.com........
