DJ Methodist aka David Handford began working with sound and electronics back in 1992. After setting up Post Office Records in an old Welsh sub post office in 2001, he now lives in the South West where he continues to create edgy electronic based work, along with a more pop soaked sound in collaboration with Jim Copperthwaite, Dan Jones and Matt Wilcox. David's other projects include MoD's film based electronic shows, and construction of sonic artworks such as "Sound Chair", "Monoliths","Ripple Tank" and "Chladni's Pillar".
DJ Methodist started life with the solo, techno tinged electronics of 2001’s "Radio St.Dogmaels" and 2003’s "Trepan Yourself". More recent work has seen him diversify into electro pop/punk singles with featured vocalists and producers such as Molara, Jo Shapland, Matt Densham, and Jim Copperthwaite on 2005’s "Digital", 2006’s "Sirens" and 2008’s "Other Worlds".
His latest release is a cover of Robert Calvert’s "The Right Stuff" from the seminal 1974 album "Captain Lockheed and the Starfighters".
The "Seven Nights" album is released in October 2009, along with further singles.
