About me:
Michael began mixing at the age of 13 being heavily influenced by the burgeoning house and rave scene at the time. He played his first gig at the age of 16 in a local nightclub and over the next few years he DJ’d in a number of clubs throughout the north of England, warming up for such luminaries as Judge Jules, Jeremy Healy, Graeme Park, Robert Owens and Frankie Knuckles, to name but a few.
In 1997 he moved to London and played at numerous parties and clubs including such internationally renowned establishments as Turnmills, 333, The Foundry and Fabric.
Michael has traveled extensively in South East Asia allowing him to bring his eclectic and exciting DJ’ing style as far reaching as Bangkok – Ministry of Sound, and Jakarta – Jalan Jalan.
In 2001 he took up residency at Nine Bar in Leicester, where he played some of his most eclectic sets mixing old skool hip-hop, funk, soul, house & breakbeat tracks with some classic rock and even a little bit of hare krishna on occassions!
The far east journey began again here in China where, since arriving in 2004, he has played in Wuhan, Jingzhou, Jinan, Xi’an, Xiao Shan, Suzhou and Shanghai.
Michael’s musical style encompasses a broad spectrum of genres including funky, deep, latin and minimal house, electro, drum and bass, breakbeat, and a hint of funk, soul, hip-hop and pop thrown in for good measure.
