DJ Minx is of British origin and has grown up living in various places in Europe and finally settling in London in 1997. She has built up a reputation for her sophisticated energetic uplifting vocal house and electro sounds. Having graced the decks in 2002 and living with two DJs at the time, gained all the advice and tips needed and picked up the trade with incredible speed and success. Having always had a great interest in music and working in clubs from an early age, DJing was the next step for her.
DJ Minx is one of the hottest female DJs on the club scene and is one to certainly watch out for! She has already achieved residencies at The End, A.K.A, The Candy Bar (London), Candy Bar (Brighton), Envy (Brighton), Freedom, Gore Hotel, Shadow Lounge, Escape Bar, The Edge, Digress, Box Bar, The Green, Gaydar Radio, The Trocadero, Just St. James, Fuel, Coco Latte, Salvation (London), Salvation (Cologne), Salvation (Denmark), Famous (Floridita), Shaun & Joe, The Palace (Miami), French Kiss (Miami) & the coolest new celebrity hang outs, Baglioni Hotels and Nobu in Mayfair as well a weekly residency on Axiom Live Radio On Line.
DJ Minx has also played at Australia’s Sydney Mardi Gras, Miami Music Conference where she was the headline DJ for ‘Joi Cardwell’s’ Record Release Party and played along side the Groove Junkies. Minx also regularly plays in Europe, Italy being a favourite where she has provided music at beach parties and gay events in Viareggio, Milan, Paris, Florence and Nice. She has also been a guest DJ at some of the hottest clubs such as Bitch (Sydney), Bitch vs. Candy Bar Recovery Party (Sydney), The Oxford Art Factory (Sydney), Mars Lounge (Sydney), Area (Vauxhall), DTPM at Fabric, Booteeq at Rouge, Kudos, The Sanctuary, The Village, The Savoy Hotel, Raymond Revue, Heaven, Lo Profile, Jewel (Piccadilly), The Five & Lime (Guildford), The Science Club (Washington DC), The Crucible (Washington DC), The Eyebar (Washington DC) and the ever popular London and Brighton Pride Festivals.
DJ Minx also joined forces with fellow DJ, Mark Bambach in music production calling ourselves NU ADDICTION! with our track ‘Addict to the Dance Floor’ feat. Meshach. This full vocal original composition features vocal talents of Meshach Mills, who was featured on the club classic by Kinky Roland ‘Born Funky’. The composition contains no samples, however, it is loosely based around Rene and Angela’s 80’s underground soul anthem ‘I Love You More’. Some of the notes have been altered to avoid any clearance problems and features live strings provided by NU ADDICTIONS Sam Cardwell, live bass, guitar and lush keyboard.
