Njezino tijelo krhko i mlado
nad lijes se jos jednom nagnu
zlatne su kose nad oci plave pale
da poljubi hladnu si majku, se sagnu.
Jesen i studen cesto isceznuca prate
al..ovdje se vrh odra zatekla lasta,
sirota djevojcica u vis ruke izvi,
a svijetu u crnini u tren dah zasta.
Kao da dijete nju nesto zamoli,
odleti ptica hitra k lugu,
jednako ruke spram nebu drzi
moze li ikoji bog izbrisati tugu.
Prigodne molitve ni tri stiha ne minu
svima opet tajac u stucenim grudima,
pticica mala cvijet divlje ruze spusta
na celo mrtve majke, na celo cudo ljudima.
Rucicama blijedim svijet rozni uze
poljubi i da udahne mrtvoj majci dade,
misleci jedina ce svjetlost progledati,
to se ne dogodi, prva suza pade.
Prva suza pade o zivote tvrdi,
usnu sa usnama majcinim stopi,
da u dom vode je k placenoj majci,
srce kriknu, vjecito ona oci sklopi.
Dva skromna humka u dnu groblja,
dva natrula kriza korov zarasta,
al.. na oba cvijet je divlje ruze,
svakog ih proljeca stavi ista lasta.
