Miss Eleni is a Melbourne based dj who was drawn to the dance scene by her love of house music and the eternal search for that perfect female vocal.
She developed her reputation as a quality house DJ during her three year residency at Melbourne's Sunday night institution - Candy Bar. Since then she has played at leading clubs and underground parties in Melbourne, Sydney and abroad including: The Market, EASY, Beyond Black, Woof Club (Melb), Winterdaze, The Peel, The Laird, Sircuit, Dirty (Syd), Dog Pound (Melb & Syd), Spring Migration Festival, Daylesford Chillout, HERO (NZ) and TABOO (SGP)
High points include an invitation to play for the Omega VIP parties every night during the Commonwealth Games, the 2007 Midsumma Opening Night Party and the 2008 Midsumma T-Dance Party. Most recently, she has been invited to play at the annual HERO party in New Zealand, two years running in 2007 & 2008, the Daylesford Chillout Dance Party in 2009 and TABOO in Singapore (2009).
In November 2008 she received an ALSO Award for Most Popular DJ - and it now takes pride of place on her speakers.
She holds a residency at Australia's renowned house club: The Market, playing her signature style of cutting edge house. She has had the honour of playing alongside LA's Eric Wikman (Deepswing) at The Market's now infamous 2008 'Horseplay' Cup Eve Party and Baltimore's DJ Spen in January 2009.
Her musical interests are varied and depending on her audience, her style ranges from deep, soulful house, chunky disco and vocal house - with progressive/tribal twists. Her music reflects a lifelong love of female vocalists such as Michelle Weekes, Kathy Brown and Jocelyn Brown. Yeah!
2008 saw the successful launch of EASY, a project that premiered at the conclusion of the 2008 Midsumma Carnival. EASY is an event that explores the scope of underground house music - for everybody.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who is passionate about good music!
