I'm Mista Ed, DJ & Producer hailing from the North of England.
I’ve been into music pretty much all my life – DJ-ing since the early nineties and producing my own material for a good few years...
As a DJ, I’ve played a load of different styles, but I’m probably most comfortable with disco-funk, early - mid 90's hip hop and old school breakbeats. I’ve worked with a boat load of different artists worldwide, doing cuts and scratches for crews, MC’s and producers and have released my own tracks on a handful of labels from the UK, Europe and America; including featuring on Bomb Hip Hop USA’s “Return of the DJ” series and Eclectic Breaks “Cuts of Culture” compilation alongside some of the world’s best scratch DJs.
Since 2003, I’ve been running Waxworks Music Studios in Bradford with partner in crime – Nick Camaro. Waxworks is one stop shop for DJs, Producers and Vocalists and has some of the best equipment on the market – check out the results on the Waxworks page – www.myspace.com/waxworksbradford.
The main objective of the studio is to give young people a chance to learn new creative skills, to work beside established musicians and some big names from the industry, gain experience and develop new music / creative talents. Waxworks not only offers several training opportunities for beginners, but for more established artists we can provide label assistance, marketing and promotion services and industry guidance.
Keep an eye out for forthcoming releases from me and the crew at Waxworks HQ!
